Tears and Diamonds

Description

I think that one is my favorite. Its really romantic...I'm proud of it :)

Foreword

You were crying.
‘’Not again…’’
You were mad at Kris… Again.
You told him to call you at 6 PM. He said that he would. He promised.

It was 10 PM now and he didn’t call. You decided to go take a walk in a big park in middle of Incheon, the city you are now living with him. The park was wonderful at night. There were many little warm lights around the calm, round l

ake and the moon was bright that night. We could see a quarter of it on the lake. You sat on a bench and cried, thinking about what he was maybe doing now without even calling.

You phone rang. It is now 10:38. You look at your phone. A photo of you and Kris kissing appears. A last tear pearls from your eye before you decide to answer.
‘’Yeobuseyo?
-Hi honey… Why didn’t you answer to the home phone?
-I’m not at home. I’m in the park where we met two years ago.
-Alright… I’m sorry if I didn’t call you. My phone was out of battery.
-How are you calling me now?
-I’m at home!
-I won’t come back. Anyway, why did you arrive so late?
-I went to get a gift for you in the north of Seoul… There was a lot of traffic! Sorry baby…’’
And if it was true? You thought. But he’s always getting some reasons for coming late, and he always presents me flowers or chocolate…That’s not enough!
‘’I don’t have any proof that you’re saying the truth. Goodbye.’’
You started to cry again for about 15 minutes.

When you got your head up to look at the sky, you saw a man at the other side of the lake looking at you. He pointed the lake you his hand. You saw a little paper boat with a candle in it. It was slowly coming to you, alone on the lake. The scene was magnificent. You could only see the illuminated lake with this little floating boat. You couldn’t see the man’s face, but you knew it was him.

When the boat arrived near to you, you took it and blew the candle. You saw a cubic little blue box with a message next to it:

I went to Seoul to take this gift for you. If you don’t accept It, I’ll probably cry for the rest of my life, and every time I’ll see the moon’s reflection on a lake, I will remember this sad day, my love.

You opened the box. A bright diamond fixed to a golden ring was lying on a little pink satin pillow. Your heart started to beat really fast. You searched for him with your eyes and saw that he was already near. He hugged you from behind and, as a tear went down on his cheek, he whispered: ‘’Will you be my wife, please?’’
