Youngbae is a single parent after the death of his wife when she was giving birth to his child at the young age of 23. Youngbae struggled through the beginning but had worked hard to be able to move on and support his 4 year-old daughter Krystal now at the age of 27. Both of them love the Christmas holidays, and spend it happily together every year. Tiffany Hwang is from a very wealthy family and cares nothing about the holidays and has always hated Christmas.

     When Kyrstal runs off while Youngbae is in the super market and runs into Tiffany, Krystal instantly warms up to her and won't let go of her, so much that Youngbae asks if she would play with Krystal if she has time, so that he could get her to let go. Tiffany on the other wants nothing to do with Youngbae and his daughter, and asks them to leave her alone, only to make Krystal cry. As cold hearted as Tiffany may seem, she reluctantly gave in and makes it a promise to play with her again. As Tiffany plays with Krystal and becoms more involved with their family, she begins to understand just exactly what family is and slowly begins to fall in love with Youngbae.
