Chapter 1
Rain was falling from the sky as I stood under the shelter of a busstation.
People running by in a hurry all busy with themself. I sighted and looked down onto the piece of paper in my hand.
Waiting for that day for so long my chest already felt like it was going to explode. It was the excitement in my heart that made me feel uneasy.
In the last month I spent much time for vocal lessons and dance practice only to prepare for that day. Now I felt ready.
I glanzed at my watch and had to recognize that I was already late.
What a great fist impression, I thought.
A stranger passed by and took shelter under the roof. He looked at me and I couldn't help but asked him for the way.
"Excuse me...", I politely asked: "May I ask you were to find the office of PLEDIS ENTERTAINMENT?"
The guy smiled back at me: "Well young lady, it's not far from here."
I gulbed.
Seemed like people already mistook me for a girl, but I was glad to fit for the role. It was not like I was wearing skirts or dresses, rather than this my style wasn't what people called masculine. Espacially my long blonde hair and the expensive nail art on my fingers made me look like a young woman instead.
Never the less the guy explained how to arrive at the Entertainments building. He wished me luck and I bowed, before running into the rain.
The office wasn't as far away as I thought and I hurried for not being that delayed.
Finally my hand grabbed the doorknob. I could almost hear my heart beating and took a deep breath before I pulled the door.
Slowly walking through the long corridorrs looking around.
There were pictures and gramphone records all along the walls. I stopped, looked closer to read the engraving, when suddenly someone bumped into me: "Out of my way, Gal!"
The second time in a row I was mistaken as a girl.
I turned around looked into deep brown eyes. For a short time I felt paralized. Before I could reply on him the blonde stranger turned around and walked away like nothing happened.
I wanted to yell after him, that he could at least say sorry, when three other guys followed the blonde one. One of them stopped beside me, smiling shyly: "Don't take his behavior seriously, he is just in a bad mood."
The tall guy bowed as an excuse and ran after the others.
What a rough guy the blonde one was, I thought, went on and arrived at the managers office door.
Someone was calling me in as I knocked.
A short, older asian man was sitting on his desk, writing some documents as I walked in.
"You must be Choi Minki!", he said as he looked up from his papers: "Take a seat."
I did as I was told to and the man put his pen away.
"Welcome to our family", he welcomed me and looked at my outfit carefully: "I see you want to keep your promise."
Yes, that promise was important to me.
Playing a girl was my condition for becoming an idol and none was allowed to find out about it. It was supposed to be kept as a secret and I took it seriously.
"Well, the other guys must be waiting for you already!", he said as I nodded and passed me a paper and a pen: "...you don't have any other questions, do you?"
"Everything is fine!", I answered and let my eyes skim over the contracts conditions again.
Signed.
Now it was offical. I was a new member of the Idol group called NU'EST which was going to debut in a while. My heart jumped because of joy.
Soon I was going to meet my new fellows and I was even more excited then I expected.
Because the manager said, he was busy he just shortly explained where the others were waiting for me. So I left his office and roamed through the corridors to find the lounge where the guys were supposed to wait for me.
"Yo, princess!", someone shouted at me from not far away. The guy that ran into me before was leaing against a door frame on the hallway. "Lounge" was written on it.
Seemed like I found them.
"What are you looking for?", the blonde asked.
"I guess I'm looking for you guys.", I answered and walked up to him. He stepped aside as I made my way into the room.
"BaekHo, who's that?", one of the guys asked as I sit down beside them.
"My Name is Ren.", I introduced myself: "I guess I'm your new member! Nice to meet you"
I smiled at them, but they seemed to be a bit shocked.
"A Girl?", the one, the other called BaekHo shouted appalled and came to sit down in front of me. "I'm sorry if I disappoint you...", I wanted to apologize, but the tall guy from before interupted me: "No! It's great! We are the first Idolgroup with only one female member."
He seemed to be a friendly fellow and introduced me to the other members.
There was the Leader JR. his dark hair and his angular face made him look handsome and I felt kinda impressed by his natural look.
The mood maker of them was Aron. He was joking all the time and liked to skinship with the other members.
BaekHo was the grumpy guy I bumped into before. Somehow I didn't felt comfortable with him but on the other hand it made him more intressting to me.
Last but not least, MinHyun introduced himself. He was the tallest one, with small eyes but a bright smile and as it seemed also with a big heart.
We talked and after a while we realized that our charactes may all work great together. But for BaekHo, it seemed like he didn't even tried to get along with me.
When we got home to the dorm where I was supposed to move in, he was the first one
entering the house and let me alone with my luggage.
Luckily, the Leader of our group was kind enough to help me out. He took my bag without asking and grinned: "This is my special service for our new member."
Somehow I couldn't help but giggle about his words. I started to like acting like a girl, even though I just started. The handsome guy carried my bags up the stairs into my room and put them beside the bed.
"If you need anything else...", JR winked: "don't hesitate to ask."
Then he left the room and closed the door behind him.
I was glad that I made a proper first impression and let myself sink on my bed. It was a hard day and stressfull days were following.
I closed my eyes and fall asleep.
