This is KyungMi. 

She could go from cute to y to shy in a matter of seconds. She is stubborn, optimistic, humble and cheerful.

The media dubbed her as 'The Next Big Hallyu Wave' and her fans love her for her quirky character and amazing vocal range. The public knows her the Queen of CF, her face is featured everywhere, from buses to flyers to television ads. 

But to you, she is Lee KyungMi and always will be Lee KyungMi and nothing more. You and KyungMi have been neighbours for all long as you can remember and your parents are close friends. Inseperable friends, everyone knows you two share a special bond. 

You were the one that pushed her to go for the audition, knowing how much she loves performing and how talented she is. She landed herself a contract with the entertainment company and the company decided to place you as a backup dancer, saying it 'suited your abilities'. 

KyungMi rised to fame quickly and as her friend you were happy for her. You two performed together on stage, however, the fans only screamed KyungMi's name. Slowly but surely, you fell in love with your best friend. As the media is scrutising her every move and her company continuing to put more pressure on her, will you and KyungMi be able to work it out together? Or will everything just crash and burn?

Ever since young, you had been the shy type, never feeling comfortable in front of cameras, not drawing unwanted attention. But for KyungMi, it is the opposite. She loved the attention when she sang, she basked in others' compliments and she simply loved performing. It was in her blood. And you would always cheer her on, encourage her while you sit in the audience.

Dance has been an outlet for you, a kind of way to relief stress and whatever that is bothering you. Vigorious dance sessions has honed to become an excellent dancer and you never planned to dance for a crowd. It was just a hobby, something you liked to do, simple as that.

Then you saw advertisements for an audition. You knew this was KyungMi's way into the entertainment industry and did not hesitate to drag her to the audition.

KyungMi rose to fame, just like you knew she would. That girl has got talent, people must be blind not to acccept or notice her. As more and more articles were being written about her, as she appeared in more and more CFs, you started to miss your best friend. She was still her goofy humble self, but the pair of friends spent less and less time together.

While performing side by side with KyungMi, you started seeing her in a different light. She was breathtaking and absolutely charismatic when she performed. She glowed with happiness, looking stunning in her outfits and always smiled that beautiful smile. And before you know it, you fell in love with her.

Will you choose to confess and risk it all, or keep silent and treasure your friendship? Will KyungMi, Best Rookie of The Year, accept your confession from you, her backup dancer?

So as you can see, there actually isn't any real idols in this fanfic. Cameos yes, but I couldn't decide on a particular male/female idol for the main characters so yeah

And you're the guy in this fic, how exciting xD

I know I know, I had a horrid reputation for putting my fics on hold, this is currently my third fic and I haven't finished my other stories. But I got inspiration after watching BoA's live perf of Only One in SMTown S'pore! :>
