Being part of SM Art Academy's queenka group, J I Y U L 's life became easier. Easier in a sense that, she doesn't need to line up in the cafeteria to get her food because the students will just let her cut the line; she doesn't need to make assignments because her peasant follower's would do it for her; she doesn't need to flirt with guys because the boys just come to her first. Basically, she's the goddess. Together with her friends Jessica (the leader) and GaEun, their group is most coveted.

"Jiyul, see that guy over that table?" Jessica pointed at the giant student eating at the corner of the cafeteria. He wears think rimmed spectacles, an unattractive scarf on his neck, wrinkled shirt and a loose baggy faded jeans. His black hair is tied in a mess. You know this guy. He's the nerd. The nerd you've been avoiding for 2 years. Your former friend - K R I S   W U.

"Yeah, what about him?" you asked, eyeing her suspiciously.

"Since, my crush Luhan has his eyes on you..." she said, twisting the loose strand of her hair with her fingers. "I dare you to make that guy fall in love with you. Then when he does, dump him." she gave you a lopsided grin.

"What the hell, Jessica! I can't hurt his feelings even I... I don't even know him. I can't break someone else's heart. Plus, That will ruin our image! Someone like us shouldn't date a nerd like him." you hissed.

"Your image" she corrected. "If you can't do it, then you're out of this group." Jessica said confidently. Being the leader, she's the most powerful and respected among the three of you. You don't have a choice but to follow her orders. You looked at GaEun who's in shock too. She gave you an unreadable look.
 

No one knows you were friends with Kris.

 It was ten years ago when you and Kris met. Since your mom is close friends with Mrs. Wu,  she let you and Kris enroll in a summer camp so that you two can hang out. In that two weeks of camping, you became close friends with Kris. You also developed a puppy crush on him. But, when summer ended, you just lost contact with him. "Mom. Where's Kris?"  "Their family moved to Canada, dear" she answered. You haven't heard of him since then.

However, on your second year in high school, their family came back to Korea because of financial problems. You were excited to see  him when you heard he would enroll in the same school as yours- the SM Art Academy. That feeling suddenly faded when you saw him walking towards you at the lockers on his first day. The cute Kris you've known does not exist anymore. In front of you was a geek. No! A nerd. A peasant. Your face frowned in disgust.

"Hi Jiyul!" he waved.

"Hi Kris.Welcome to the academy! I gotta go!"

"I...."

And you left him.

You were disappointed. You expected him to look HOT because you were sure people from Canada have good sense of fashion as what you've seen on the television. But Kris... what happened to him? A girl like you- one of the queenkas- should not hang out with a guy like him. Never. You pitied Kris. He was a good friend. But no, you have to avoid him.
 

"Fine. But Jessica, I don't like Luhan, okay? You can have him." you sighed in defeat.

"Good."
