Description

This story is inspired by the period dramas I’ve been watching lately. Mostly, I felt really inspired after watching Startling by Each Step and reading the novel Ballad in the Desert written by the same author Tong Hua. The stories and history completely enraptured me and I felt it would be rather interesting to write a story on these warring periodic times within the palace and beyond the palace. I planned this story for a while and I thought about how each EXO member can be tied into this historical setting I’m going to be creating. I’m excited to have this story play out and I hope you’re a reader who is as excited to go on this journey with me!
The setting of this story takes place during a fictional Tang dynasty period. Just because I am rather enraptured by the attire of that time and I can already imagine how amazingly handsome EXO would look in ancient Tang attire. Besides that this story of mine will NOT follow any real historical events, including the fact that the dynasty isn’t even called Tang dynasty as I will be calling it Wu dynasty. Changed my mind, I will revert to calling it the Tang dynasty lol.
I will mainly be using English terms throughout the story, but to put the story in a more believable setting there are some terms and words I have to use, for example honorifics. I will put some words that need to be defined at the top of every chapter.
Lastly due to the amount of characters I have I will list out the characters here, but I won’t be making any character bio because what’s the fun in that (well I’m also too lazy to do it anyway lol) so readers, you will have to unravel all the characters yourself! :] Yippie!
