Myths are Hope.

Description

The only love Kim Heechul has, and will ever have, is towards the country.

Foreword

The story of Romeo and Juliet has been told many different times, in many different ways.

A love that’s strong enough to kill, to some their love was ‘romantic’ and ‘beautiful’, to me it’s idealistic and unrealistic. The story of Romeo and Juliet wasn’t a tale of romance; it was a tale of how foolish youngsters are to have believed in such thing as silly as ‘love’.

It was sad indeed, but what was sad was how foolish they were and not how their love overcome whatever that came to them, which it didn’t.

I’ve read Romeo and Juliet million of times despite my hatred of it, it reassures me of my beliefs that love is only for the lucky and the strong. Since I’m not either, I’m happy to say that I don’t foresee any love in my future. While some might think it’s a misfortune, I think it’s just my luck, just my good luck, just imagine how many I don’t have to deal with!

I had tried to continuing this despite everything that has happened, but something feels off lately and I’ve since stopped. I didn’t find the ending funny anymore, or even merely pathetic. I actually wanted them to end up together. I wanted those stupid lovesick teenagers to find each other, if not in this world, then in the next. Bottom line is, I was no longer eagerly waiting for the death scene, but instead, I was rooting for love to win.

“Tifanny, the driver’s here!” the butler shouted, signaling that it’s time for me to complete my duties. I decided to hurry, hoping that this duty I would soon complete would at least remind me why love is nothing more than a myth.
