Inamorata – n. [ɪnˌæməˈrɑːtə ˌɪnæmə-]

A woman with whom one is in love; a female lover

It doesn’t necessarily have to be Valentine’s Day for love to be in the air. And it doesn’t have to be New Year’s for a new chapter to start. All it takes for a relationship to start is two people.

With the crisp autumn air, innocent love, happy days, and the need for a new scarf become more significant in two people’s lives.

It’s her again, he thought to himself, sticking his hands in his pockets, keeping his head low. He’s known her for so long, but each time he sees her it’s as if he’s meeting her all over again. His heart skips a beat whenever he catches a glimpse of her; his heart completely stops when he talks to her. He goes crazy just thinking about her and his face turns incredibly red when someone mentions her name. He blushed and couldn’t help but watch as she walked by, her purse attached to her arm and a hot chai latte in her hand. He has always been captivated by her beauty. He was itching to catch up to her and say hello, but he stopped himself. He figured she was busy. How ironic; usually, he was the one that was too busy to be talked to. But there he was, sitting outside with his face concealed by a hat and sunglasses, pining after the girl who unknowingly held his heart.

That’s the kind of effect you’ve always had on him.

How pathetic , he scolded himself. He slumped into the armchair of the recording studio. He vividly remembered watching you walk by last January. Well, that’s how he remembers anything involving you. The two of you have been friends for a while, but somehow, he managed to keep his feelings for you a secret. Cowardice, he told himself, lightly slapping his face. Deciding that he needed some fresh air, he stood up and left the empty studio.

While wearing a hat in hope that his fans won’t recognize him, he strolled down the street, clad in a large bomber jacket. He began to wear this jacket more after heard you say it looked good on him. You didn’t know that he heard you, but he hoped you would notice him. He kicked a can on the ground. On stage, he was overflowing with charisma and he could capture teenage girls’ hearts just by smiling. But here he was, too shy to let a girl know of his feelings for her.

He entered a small café. This café was one of the few places where he could relax; the same goes for other celebrities. The owners of this café have always kept quiet about how it’s such a popular spot for Korean celebrities, even though it could bring them a lot of business. But the owners are understanding people; they realize how stressful fame can be.

But upon opening the door, he bumped into someone.

“I’m so sorry,” he apologized, bowing deeply . He looked up, and his jaw nearly dropped. He blinked, seeing your surprised face. How cliché, he thought wryly. His face paled when he looked down and saw that by bumping into you, he caused you to spill coffee on your scarf.

“Um, hi,” you greeted hesitantly, looking down at your scarf.

“Wait, let me get you napkins,” he said hurriedly, intense color coming back to his face. He rushed to a nearby table and grabbed a handful of napkins. Returning to you rather quickly, he dabbed at the stain he made on you brown scarf.

“No, no, it’s okay,” you said, stopping him from dabbing at your scarf. You took it off. “I can just clean this at home. It’s no big deal.”

“I’ll clean it for you!” Your eyes widened slightly by his sincerity. “It’s my fault that your scarf is stained, so I should clean it.”

“Like I said, it’s okay,” you reassured, smiling a little. He quieted down as soon as your lips curved upwards. You held both your scarf and coffee up. “My scarf can be easily cleaned and I still have too much coffee for me to handle. Maybe I should’ve spilled more on my scarf so that I’d have less caffeine.”

His stomach did a backflip as you laughed. A sweet, lively laugh was how he always described it. You looked at your watch and gasped a little.

“Oh, I have to go,” you muttered. Before leaving, you turned to him and smiled. “It was nice to see you again. And I love your latest song. See you later!”

You waved before exiting the coffee shop. He watched you walk briskly down the street. He hadn’t seen you in a while and he just became so flustered by seeing your face. You were always so pleasant; even though he was grateful for it, he didn’t understand how you were still single. His shoulders sagged a little and headed to the counter to order something.

“You should go after her.”

He looked up. One of the café owners was staring at him with his arms crossed.

“You’re a fool if you don’t run after right now and ask her on a date,” he scoffed before walking away.

Blinking, he thought about the owner’s words.

He’s right.

Running out of the shop, he looked in the direction you were walking. Walking rather quickly, he searched for your profile; it was a good thing the streets weren’t crowded today. Spotting you, he began to run. The few passerby stared at him and complained as he sped past them, but he disregarded them. You were more important. When he grew closer, he began to call your name. You stopped and turned around, confused.

Panting, he skidded to a halt in front of you. You looked around and checked your watch again, a little worried. I’m holding her up, he panicked. He stood up straight and said your name again.

“Yes?” you asked, unsure of what he was going to say next. He took a deep breath and looked you in the eye.

“Wouldyougooutwithme?”

Blushing, he covered his mouth. Strike one, he thought. You raised your eyebrow.

“Excuse me?”

He took another deep breath.

“Would you like to go on a date with me?” he asked slowly, watching your face for a reaction.

Your cheeks grew pink and you blinked nervously. His heart pounded as you seemed at a loss for words.

“Oh, I-I didn’t expect this,” you stammered. He couldn’t help but love how adorable you looked. He waited patiently for you to come to a conclusion.

“You don’t have to answer me right now,” he told you quietly. “You do seem to be in a rush.”

“No, I’ll answer you now.” You tried to calm down a little. Failing in doing so, you held your head up.

He held his breath as he waited for your answer.

“I’d love to go on a date with you.”

Stunned, it took him a second to process what you had just said before he broke into a smile.

“Really?!” he exclaimed. “That’s great! Look, since you’re busy, we can discuss the details later okay? I don’t want to make you late.”

He was just so happy that he didn’t care if he had to wait a month to make official plans.

The end of your fourth date was nearing. It was quite late, almost midnight, but the two of you didn’t mind. His face was covered by a scarf and hat while you had a high collar to cover the bottom half of your face. He couldn’t stop smiling as the two of you walked up the path to your door. You blushed as he took your hand in his and swung it back and forth. You stopped when you reached the front door.

“I had a lot of fun,” you told him shyly. Your face grew pink and you ducked your head a little. His heart fluttered. She’s blushing because of me, he thought giddily.

“I had fun too,” he said sweetly, raising your hand to his lips. Heat rushed to your face as his lips brushed your hand. He looked you in the eyes and smiled softly. He took your other hand and placed a small bag in it.

“What is this?” you asked, peering inside. Colorful tissue paper prevented you from inspecting its contents any further.

“It’s something special. Open it,” he urged. He dropped your hand so you could dig through the tissue paper and pull out a box with a pink ribbon tied around it. He took the now empty bag out of your hands as you untied the ribbon.

“This box is so cute.” You looked at it curiously. What could be inside? There’s only one way to find out.

You lifted the lid and your eyes widened slightly. A rose pink cashmere scarf was folded neatly in the box. You ran your fingers over it; it was incredibly soft. Taking it out of the box, you saw a blank card at the bottom.

“Read it.” He stuck one of his hands in his pockets. With butterflies in his stomach, he watched you pick up the card and open it.

“I noticed that you haven’t cleaned your other scarf yet, so I hope this keeps you warm,” she read aloud, saying each word slowly. “However, I’d much rather be the one to keep you warm as the days get colder. Will you be my…..girlfriend?”

You grew quiet and read the note over again, but to yourself this time. He gulped and watched you silently. When you looked at him suddenly, he nearly had a heart attack.

“I’m going to be honest,” she said quietly.

His heart nearly plummeted as she said those words.

“I washed my scarf last week.”

He blinked and lowered his scarf a little bit.

“Oh,” was all he could say. She’s gonna say no, he thought. Maybe she’s not ready, he fretted to himself. What if he was pushing you? What if you felt uncomfortable? No, he couldn’t bear to put you in such awkward situations. His head snapped up as you said his name softly.

“I like this scarf a lot better though,” you declared, wrapping the scarf around your neck. You locked your eyes onto his. “But I’m guessing I won’t actually need this if I have you.”

“……wait, is that your way of saying yes?” he queried anxiously. He relaxed a bit when you giggled at his nervous state.

“Yes, I will be your girlfriend,” you confirmed, smiling widely and blushing even harder than before.

Before he could react, you slipped her arms around him and hugged him tightly.

Can I request a one shot with Xiumin?
Xiumin has been feeling down lately. All his group members, get more attention than him and he never seems to be anyones number one bias. however, he meets a girl who doesn't know who exo is and she seems to have fallen for Xiumin for just being Xiumin. Will he have the guts to have her meet his friends (exo) and if he does will she fall for one of them or will he hid her from them and will she continue to like him the way he is as he hides a part of himself?
does that make sense? thank you :D
