In the library…

 

A sixteen years old boy entered hurriedly trying to search something he didn’t know. But he had a feeling that he would find something there and he wouldn’t leave until he knew what it was. And he could hear someone humming to the tune he sung before. He was wondering how that person knew about it. The ‘Kokoro’ song.

 

There was a girl who hummed a song ‘Kokoro’ as she walked around the shelves, taking some books and she accidentally bumped into the tall boy. All of the books were thrown on the floor.

 

“Sorry” said that boy as he knelt down to pick the books. ‘It’s okay’ said that girl as she knelt too. But on last book, their hands accidentally touched each other’s. They could feel something at their hearts in an instant. ‘Is she the one I’m searching for?’ thought Zelo as he looked at her face.

 

Her face seemed familiar to him. ‘It couldn’t be…’sighed Zelo deeply.

 

“Hi, my name is Zelo” greeted Zelo. She smiled. ‘That smile. I have seen that smile. But where?’ thought Zelo. It was then a face came into his mind. It was a girl. She looked like the girl in front of her.

 

“My name is…” she hadn’t finished her sentence that Zelo cut in.

 

”Miracle” gasped Zelo. The girl was confused. “How do you know my name?”

 

Zelo shrugged his shoulder. “I just know” said Zelo. He, himself also curious why did he know her name. It had been in his head for far too long. He didn’t know the owner of that name until he met her today. The girl who was in front of him.

 

 

YEARS BEFORE THE FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH ‘MIRACLE’

[Zelo’s POV]

He was staring into the dark skies, sighing deeply. He had never smiled and always alone. He had always been this way from a long ago. He couldn’t feel anything. Hatred. Love. Happy. All he could only feel was nothing.

 

A boy who’ve always been alone

And alone will always be with him

For it is a loyal partner to him

 

He was extending his right hand into the skies as if he was trying to grasp something. He could feel his heart was beating but it was vacant. It filled with emptiness. It was as if he had no heart.

 

Looking into the skies with a vacant stare

He was wondering what feeling is

He asks what is love

What it feels to have a heart?

 

“What is heart?” he asked to himself that question. “What is love? I want to experience it”

 

He knew no happiness…no sadness

He is like an egg shell filled with nothing

 

He had a very painful past. He knew no happiness. He knew no sadness. He was in a room in a hospital. He was sick and no one was there for him. No one ever would. Nor did his parents or his friends would be there for he was, a lonely boy. His parents were died in a car accident that happened three years ago when he was still ten years old. He had spent his life growing up inside the hospital.

 

He always had no one beside him

He is sick

His heart will die soon

 

He let out a tear but he didn’t know why he was crying. He was about his time. He would die anytime. The reason he didn’t have any feelings anymore probably because he had an accident which caused amnesia. And to think, he would lose his heart made him have no reason to live. He didn’t have a heart to love for someone however he wished for that thing to happen to him.

 

He is crying with no reason

He didn’t remember anything from his past

He didn’t remember what it feels to love

And to be loved…

 

His eyes were lonely and he needed someone to be with him. He wanted at least to know how it felt to love someone and to be loved by someone before his life was taken away from him. He had always been there waiting for someone. And he could only remember a name.

 

That name was ‘Miracle’. It was a name who he thought to be someone he was waiting for. ‘Miracle’ Zelo gasped as he was drifted into a deep sleep.

 

He was waiting for someone

Miracle

His heart seeks for miracle to be happen

 

In his dream, he was walking in a dessert which seemed endless. He just walked and kept walking, hoping to find something. It was then he met a girl with a golden hair who looked like a goddess. She was sitting alone, accompanied by wind. “Who are you?” asked Zelo. The girl looked at him with the same look in his eyes.

 

In his dream, he met Miracle

A goddess who is lonely

Like him

 

“My name is Miracle” said that girl. Zelo wanted to hug at that time when he jolted up from his dream. Since then, he never had the same dream again. And he was curious that name was still lingering on his head.

 

Three years passed just like that. He finally had a new heart but he still didn’t have any feelings. He lived his life as a normal sixteen year old boy but without any feelings. He never smiled.

 

Few years had passed again

Growing up with no heart

He never smiled

Just like a robot

 

Now he was already admitted out of the hospital and he got this strong feeling to go to the library to search for a very precious thing for him.

 

In the library…

Precious to him

Someone who can restore his heart back

Someone who can love him and be loved by him

 

“Since you know me already, then let’s be friends” said Miracle, smiling extending her right hand to that man. Zelo was his name. Zelo nodded. There was nothing much happier than that.

 

At last his wish comes true

A wish to have a heart
