Prolouge

Lee Shin, (Jung Yong Hwa) is a university student majoring in Western Music. He is also the vocalist and guitarist of a band "The Stupid." Shin is known for his good looks, cocky personality, and strong passion for music. Everyone sees him as a cold-hearted and distant person, but he has a soft side inside him hidden away. He lacks interest in anything unrelated to music and has neither dreams nor plans for the future. He initially likes Jung Yoon Soo, a dance professor at the university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Gyu Won (Park Shin Hye).

Lee Gyu Won is a jolly, bright, and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in Traditional Korean Music. She plays the gayageum. Gyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age and his biggest wish is to see his granddaughter become a traditional music prodigy. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Gyu Won immerses herself in practice and becomes a university student who knows nothing much outside of her studies. As her friends are fans of "The Stupid", she was forced to go to the band's concert with them. There she saw Lee Shin performing live, and is immediately captivated by him.

Yeo Joon Hee (Kang Min Hyuk) is a bumbling, shy, and ever hungry boy who doesn't act his age. He has a complete childlike personality, shaggy idiot by day, Stupid's lead drummer by night. During one of his shaggy phases during the day, he comes across University Princess and chairman's daughter, Han Hee Joo (Woori), who he immediately falls head over heels for, calling her his "Natasha." However, there are dark sides to Hee Joo's personality than his naïvety knows, and in the series, he fights between his ever-growing feelings for Hee Joo and helping his friends as she threatens their university lives.

Characters

Lee Gyu Won (15) - a good-natured if somewhat scattered student at Alitson High School  who’s in Korean classical music class, or gukak. She’s practically been bred for this path, having been raised by a stern, staunchly traditionalist grandfather who’s a famed master of pansori, a form of classical Korean singing. She’s got a close relationship with Grandpa, although we see a few cracks in the relationship as the story progresses. Gyu Won also practices as part of a four-member gukak group calling themselves Windflowers, of which her cheery friend Ryu Hae is also a member.

Lee Shin (14) - An applied-music student at Aliston High School who seems like your typical arrogant bastard hero at first glance, walking around with a chip on his shoulder. As the lead vocalist of hot band, Boyfriend, he gets the lion’s share of fan adoration, more for his looks than for the music, which rankles him. On the other hand, when he’s alone with family or closer friends, we see glimpses of a nicer, softer Shin. Too bad he doesn’t let that show to anybody outside his inner circle — though he gets enough attention by being a jerk that he’d probably be mobbed by admirers if he were actually, yunno, friendly. Shin can get very over-protective over s and later on to Gyu Won.

Yeo Joon Hee (15) - is a bumbling, shy, cheerful, hardworking and ever hungry boy who doesn't act his age. He has a complete childlike personality, shaggy idiot by day, th Stupid's lead drummer by night. During one of his shaggy phases during the day, he comes across University Princess and chairman's daughter, Han Hee Joo, who he immediately falls head over heels for, calling her his "Natasha." However, there are dark sides to Hee Joo's personality than his naïvety knows, and in the series, he fights between his ever-growing feelings for He Yi and helping his friends as she threatens their university lives. He is really clingy towards Gyu Won and changes her nickname from time to time. He's probably the olny member whom Gyu Won caught to be the most comfortable to be with since he respects his hyungs the most and is not cocky.

Han Hee Joo (15) - The daughter of the university president where Shin, Gyu Won and the rest of the Stupid and Windflowers are studying. She is in love with Shin who favors Gyu Won better than her. Nothing is really special about her, except that she's the daughter of the school president.
