If you were in my situation, would you have done the same thing I did? Of course, it depends on what you think of the situation.

I’m Seo Joohyun. Here, in Korea, is where boring things happen. Well, that’s what I thought. I never went to the city that time. I lived on a farm far away from the city.

“Mother, can I go to the city one day?” I asked. My mother looked at me and gave me a warm smile. “Maybe someday you can. What city do you want to go to?” she said. “I want to go to Seoul. There, I can be a star,” I said. She chuckled. “You’re already a star,” my mom told me.

I knew what she was trying to say. And it wasn't long until she died. My father was heartbroken and he decided to move to Seoul. Now, here’s the part where I ask you the question I asked at the very beginning.

Would you do what I did? He asked me if I wanted to go. And yes, I did want to go. But the thing was, all my friends were there. I wanted to be famous and go to Seoul. But I also wanted to have friends by my side. I knew how important friends were. And I guess I did the most selfish thing. I decided to move to Seoul.

Well, of course I didn’t tell my friends why I was going. They’d think I was selfish. And I was. We all said our goodbyes, but there was this one friend I didn’t want to say goodbye to. It was my best friend, Jung Yonghwa. But it happened. We said goodbye and that was that.

I was off to Seoul. No doubt about it. And the sights were amazing. Nothing could beat the sights. First, my dad and I visited Han River. Then we went to Seoul Tower. After we had all our fun, we decided to look at our home.

It was big. It was bigger than our old house. And the next day, I was off to school. I met a boy in my school. He made me happy that I went to Seoul. It was surprising.

Many years passed and that boy had moved away in the 3^rd grade. His name was Cho Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun was the first guy who made me happy in Seoul. But good things don’t last forever. Years passed again and soon, I was in high  school as a junior.
