Columbian Blend

Description

Coffee.

That rich, smooth heaven in a cup.

Kris can say unequivocally, without even a ground of hesitation or doubt that he hates it. He hates with an every growing, ever consuming, passion and loathing that most days it takes him everything he has to show up for work and not take an axe and torch to it all.

Rich, dark coffee

Is Kris’ own personalized torture in his own private hell.

Foreword

Response to a Taoris one-shot prompt by Legna_angel. I have never done this before, but thought I'd give it a try. I'm anticipating that this will be quite the challenge for me in a number of ways:

1. 'Real Life' drama feel of the prompt is a step away from my usual fantasy-supernatural comfort zone, but the angst potential of the story gives me something familiar to hold on to.

2. I KNOW ALBSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT COFFEE. As a non-coffee drinker this is going to be a challenge, particularly since I actually can't stand the smell or taste of coffee. This calls for "Research"!! I can totally see myself failing at this.

3. My writing process is best described as chaotic, if not ADHD, so having the core of the story already outlined for me is going to be a challenge, but I'll do my best.  がんばるぞ~!

Chapter 3: I think you wanted "reverie" but I could be wrong...

Again, this is just...T_T I've found one of my life's written loves. Now let's see what else the hammer and chisel of life will carve into the intersecting stone paths which are Kris' and Tao's lives :3
