Don't Brag

[A/N: Sorry it took long enough to write Kris'. I was really having a block a didn't know what to do. Then, when I was eating street food with my friends, I saw this man riding a bike. BOOM. There it goes hahaha. ENJOY! :")]

You were dragging yourself to walk to school. It was autumn, the first day of school. You were expecting tohear many students whining and grumbling.

"Huh?" you mumbled. To your surprise

Almost every student has a bike! You got annoyed that you were the only walking while they were riding and smiling.

"How come I didn't get a memo about this?" you whined and stomped your feet

"Hey, Yoonmi, why aren't you walking?" a voice said

You smiled to that voice. You turned around and saw Kris, grinning like a idiot and wait, riding a bicycle?

"Hey, how come you also got one?" you asked

"Well, it's a must for high school students like us." he said in a matter-of-fact tone

"Tch, then how come I don't have one?!"

"Because you are a weirdo." he said in english

"HEY! Don't speak in other language! No fair!"

"I was complimenting you."

"Really, wow thanks!" you said then he shrugged

Kris has been one of your closest friends and well, even though you were the opposite of him, you complete each other. He's the famous kid, you were just average. He's almost good at everything and then there's you, trying so hard not to fall down with your two left feet.

"Need a lift, then?" he suddenly grinned

"I would appreciate that!" you said,

You were getting close to him when he pedaled. Every time you get near, he would get pedal to get distant

"You think that's free? Of course you have to treat me for lunch" he cutely stick out his tongue

"Yah, I already treated you before!" you exclaimed

"No you didn't! You ran out of the classroom even before bell! Cheater!"

"Loser!"

"Oh, really? Oh, look what time is it? It's almost time! Good thing I have a bicycle so I can arrive there faster" he looked at his watch with a smug look on his face

"Okay! Okay! I'll treat you, so just hurry your arrogant and pedal fast!" you climbed onto his back. He then made the bike side to side

"Woah, I see you gained weight!" he chuckled. You were horrified so you hugged his back tightly.

"S-shut up and just pedal!" you cried

"Hahaha, you're such a scared rabbit. Of course I won't let you get hurt" he said while pedaling

"Shut up. Hey, when did you learn to bike?"

"I learnt it since I was born"

"Tch, why do you brag a lot? But, seriously, when?

"I learnt it myself. It takes practice you know. And a lot of bandages" he laughed heartily

"Will you teach me then?" you begged

"Hmm, I'll think about it..."

"SERIOUSLY WHAT KIND OF FRIEND ARE YOU!? DON'T YOU REMEMBER THAT TIME WHEN I HELPED Y-"

"Okay, okay! I'll teach you after school. So noisy"

"Promise?" you showed you pinky to him

"Yah, how can I do a pinky promise?"

"Oh, then you promised mentally, 'kay?"

Kris rolled his eyes then smiled as he go faster, you held him more firmly on his waist.

It was nice riding the bicycle. You closed your eyes as the winds melodiously touched your face

"It's nice." you suddenly remarked

"Huh?"

"I said it's nice. Riding a bike and enjoying this."

"Uh-huh. Quite a view huh?"

"Yes" you whispered while you held him tighter

He suddenly shivered and blushed when you did but just played cool and cleared his throat. He was enjoying this

"Mimi-ah, I think you shouldn't learn how to bike"

"Why not?"

"I'll just, um fetch you then" he said

"But, I have to learn. What if there's an emergency?"

"Tch, have it your way" but he felt disappointed

School was over. And you yearned for the bike tutorial.

'I can't wait' you thought.

You searched everywhere for Kris, but out his usual spots, he wasn't anywhere. You looked in the cafeteria, in the classroom, and even went inside the boys' restroom

"Aishhh, where is he?" you stomped your feet in frustation and heard a familiar chuckle. You stood outside the closet and opened it.

"Hi" Kris smiled innocently. It was a funny sight, he was squishing himself in a small cabinet inside.

"Were you hiding from me?" you put your arms on your waist

Kris stood up and dusted his coat. "No, why would I?"

"I don't know. Why would you?" you played dumb

"Maybe because I was busy!" he suddenly ran to the corridors.

"Aish, he's so big yet he acts like a kid" then you ran after him

"Yah, Wu Yi Fan!" you called out. He stopped on his tracks. You always knew how to stop him

"Shh, we're in public, Mimi." he covered your mouth. He was embarrassed about his full name

"Don't Mimi me! You promised me something!" you took away his hand

"What?"

"You said you would teach me, right?"

"But before that, can I bring you somewhere?"

You nodded and you went to a park. You suddenly saw a bike in the middle of the field.

"It's so pretty!" you exclaimed

"It's yours." he said

"What?"

"I said it's yours" he said while smiling

"Um thanks?" you said quietly

"No matter how pretty the bike is, it won't help you do better."

"Tch, can you do better!?"

"Always!"

"Hey, don't brag!"

"I didn't"

"Giant"

"Hey! I'm not a giant. You're the dwarf!"

"Nu-uh, this is a normal height, alien!"

"Dwarf!"

"Giant!"

"Yah, I said keep both feet on the ground! Aishh" He went over you and helped you stand up.

You tried again but you keep falling. Your legs had scratches and scrapes that it felt sore. The pain lingered and it made water form in your eyes.

You stayed on the ground with the bike

"I don't want to do it anymore..." you voice broke

"Hey, don't give up yet" he squated so he can see your face

"I don't want to."

"Hey you have to learn to fall you know. That's what keeps it coming"

"But I don't want to fall anymore"

You looked at the ground and played with the grass. Suddenly, you felt two hands cupped you cheeks

"You don't need to fall." He said gently.

You got closer inch by inch and then--

"YAH WU YI FAN! WE'RE GONNA BE LATE! WAKE UUUUUP!!" Yoonmi shook Kris until he woke up

"H-huh? Where am I?" Kris asked, puzzled

"Yah, we're in your room! Your mom said I should wake you up! And if you don't take a bath now, me and your big will get punished!"

"Aishh, okay, I got it, i got it!. But it's already 6:30. We'll never make it!" Kris panicked

"I got it covered, Kris" You smiled with confidence

"How?" he asked

"Um you still have your bike, right?"

HOW WAS IT GUISE?! Did you like it? Actually, I have a confession to make.

I also cannot use a bike well. I can use but I also fall with my sorry . I don't drive that steady. SHOULD I RESERVE FOR FUTURE PREFERENCES THEN? lols
