Okay, let's start this off the typical way since this is a fairy tale.

Once upon a time there was a middle aged man named Bang Yongguk. He was a strange man. He often invented things and was thought of as a nutcase. Even by his wife, Jieun, who loved him dearly. Unfortunately the two could not have children so they were longing to have a little girl. 

One day, Yongguk decided to create a robot girl. A girl who would be able to grow just like a regular human. Course this would be impossible except they lived next door to a wit- I mean warlock. 

The warlock, whose name shall not be revealed right now, created a deal with Yongguk. Once the girl grew to be about six, he would have to give her to him. At first, Yongguk hesitated, but he decided at least he would have raised a child. 

They decided to name her Lucerne because in the language of flowers, it meant life.

Jieun and Yongguk were so very happy to have a beautiful child such as her. She looked amazing with long flowing black hair, dark brown doe eyes, long lashes, and the sweetest smile. Course besides the fact she was still a robot and not really alive, she really did seem to be human.

But of course, once she grew to be six, Yongguk knew it was time yet he couldn't bear to part with his daughter. Sadly the warlock took no pity on them and took the child away, leaving the couple heartbroken.

Lucerne was still too young to understand what was going on, but she knew she would never see her parents again so she brought a picture of them together for memories.

The warlock took Lucerne and ended up raising her like his own and unfortunately he locked her up in a tower.
