Cheolyeong was a boy who was kept captive since he was born. He was abused by his owner when he did something wrong, not good enough, or even just for fun. Even though he went through a horrible life, he never cried. He was always happy. But, at the age of 16 he decided that when he was 21 he would run away; far away. Even though Cheolyeong is now free, he feels that chains are still holding him back from the real world. While exploring the world he never knew existed, he meets a boy about his age who befriends him. His new friend gives him a new life, a family, and hope for his future.

Characters
Bang Cheolyeong
The main character of Breaking Free. This story focuses on Bang Cheolyeong, a young adult who tries to escape his past. He is usually happy and bubbly no matter what the situation is. He doesn't have a family nor any friends. He later meets Lee Changsun who takes him in. He later develops feelings for the brunette-haired man who took him in.
Lee Changsun
Cheolyeong's only friend, family, and savior. Changsun is a college student who is studying at Seoul University. His personality is bright, happy-go-lucky, and gullible. He found Cheolyeong on the way home once and decided to take him in. He was shocked when he later realized his feelings for the younger man.
Park Sanghyun
Changsun's friend who goes to Seoul University with him. Even though he has a pretty face and perfect body, he never had a girlfriend in his life. This changes when a certain man comes into his life. Sanghyun is usually quiet and mysterious at first, but will be completely different when you get to know him.
Yang Seungho
A student who is studying abroad in South Korea to become a idol. Seungho usually has a stoic facial expression no matter what his mood is. He is said to have trouble expressing his feelings, because of that, he never really went into any relationships. Although, this changes when the quiet Sanghyun comes into his life.
Jung Daehyun
Cheolyeong's former boyfriend. He left Cheolyeong after being transferred to the owner's daughter. He has served her for quite some time until she got tired of him refusing to do what she wanted so she set him free. He goes to Seoul University too and is in his 4th year there. He later meets Changsun and discovers shocking news.
