My phone buzzed on my desk making me slighltly jumped in place. As I looked the caller ID, I groaned then picking up the call through my Bluetooth ear piece.

“Yoboseyo?”

“Noona! Why aren’t you home yet?!!”

“Ugh kyungsoo, something came up last minute at work a—“

“Ah! Molla molla! I don’t want to know! aisssh....." I could hear he was cursing under his breath over there. I don’t blame my little brother for that because I am myself is pissed off.

 

Why am I still here!!?

 

It was already 5:30 PM but I can’t leave this office yet. I should’ve been home at 4 and prepare for a little barbeque party at my house. Celebrating my little brother’s accomplishment as he finally signed to a label. He’s a really good singer, the best one at our house. Always winning competition here and there and finally, he was scouted by a big talent company. we invited our close friends to the house for a bbq tonight because our parents is away, well we could use some of the freedom .

"i'll be there in 30 ok? i called Eunhye already to help you set up. I'm really sorry kyungsoo-yah," and the phone ended by a threatening answer from my brother, to be at house in exact 30mins or sleep outside. Damn that stupid boy is quiet scary sometimes aside from his cute looks.

I slammed my hand on the table out of frustration "Aissh... this is frustrating!!"

 taking out the bluetooth earpiece and continue typing in a lightning speed. i had to re-type the agreement documents again for 3 projects because of a babo,

"Hyunkyung-sshi," i looked up to meet eyes with the babo himself, Huang Zitao. I looked at him in annoyance as he walked up towards my desk.

He was a transferred employee from our china office. He's good looking, tall with nice body and i admit that. Oh and his eyes, oh that eyes. It’s as if he could undress me with his intense gaze….. but enough of fangirling over him. Cause currently I’m utterly pissed with this person. Because of his imperfect Korean reading, he accidentally deleted all of the document that we need for tomorrow's meeting!! and now i had to help him to retype those things again. im currently on my last paragraph of the 2nd document and had no time to all

"What again Tao?" i asked curtly. He looked scared standing infront of me, well he should be.

"A-ah, about the 3rd one, you don't need to type it again. i just recover the document," he handed a bundle of papers in front of me and I sighed.in relief in an instant.

"Really?! Oh thank god!" I beamed at him and he simply smiled back.

 

 

I leaned back to my chair as if a heavy weight has been lifted away from me and continue typing the last words. Tao just sat there while studying the papers, re-checking if there’s something wrong or not. I walked to the printer table and set it on then printing all the document we need. Leaning back on the wall near the table I checked on my phone. 20 minutes more? Wow, I work in an inhumane speed~

“I’m really sorry, really sorry that you had to help me about this,”

I gave him a small smile while typing a message for my little brother, “it’s okay. I’m responsible for these also or our editor in chief will,” I gave a slicing-throat gesture near my throat and it makes him laugh.

It’s nice to see him laugh because most of the time he looked really serious and scary to be honest. We’re not that close but since we worked in the same marketing department of this magazine company, we got together a lot. For works, I mean.

“So, I guess I’ll leave now,” I said as I take my purse and phone charger on my desk. “you?”

“Me too,” he showed me his bag that he carry, I didn’t notice that

“Ah, so you prepared already?” I laughed a little, turning my computers and printer of while putting on my jacket

“Well, the rest of the colleagues are already home and it’s empty out there,”

“Don’t tell me you’re afraid being alone?” I gave him a teasing smile as he shook his head abruptly, fixing his work bag on his shoulder

“No! Of course not, hahaha, why whould I—“

I purposely clicked off the lamp switch and heard a loud gasp coming from the tall guy standing a few geet behind me. When I clicked it back on, Tao’s eyes were as huge as eggs, it might popped out from it’s socket.

“You are scared! Oh my god,” I laughed out loud while pointing at him,

“Well I.. I…..”  he was so cute and blushed as he stride to the door and try to open it but I left it locked. I forgot to open it.  Feeling a little bit bad because I might be embarrassing him I stopped and open the locked door

“It’s okay Tao, I’m sorry I laughed out loud,” I said while we walked out from my office room towards the elevator which is not too far, I keep smiling to myself remembering how cute he looked when he’s embarrassed like that. I bet no one has saw him like this. He scratch the back of his head, messing the perfect black locks that I adore too. Ugh, shut it Hyunkyung, you can’t fangirl over your co-worker and when he’s actually younger than you!

“It’s okay. My jiejie used to do it too,” he sheepishly smiled. Jiejie? Ah, older sister. We stepped into the elevator and went to the 1^st lobby as

“But I thought you are an only child?”

“Eh?” he looks confused. “I never tell anyone about it…”

Busted. No one should know about that, of course. This man, he never talk about his family to her nor the other colleagues. That’s why some of us think that he’s pretty mysterious. With that look of his, totally suit the mysterious type really well! I wish the elevator would just swallowed me down cause I caught red handed, I had been reading his profiles a lot. I just want to know more about this person except he was a freshly graduated from the top university in Qingdao. I face palmed myself inside of my head.

“I-I…read your profile a few times,” I mumbled the last two words, my face flushed red because of embarrassment. ! Why did I blurted out the ‘few times’ part!! Ugh!! I looked up to see him eyeing me with that teasing stare

“Why? Why are you reading my profiles? And a few times? Hahahah, Are you interested in me, Noona?” he emphasized the last words and nudging my shoulder. Aish, this boy he never really called me with noona, that’s why I often forgot that he’s younger. I pushed him back with my shoulder as he keeps nudging me.

“Shut it~”

“You like me eh?” his sudden question caught me off guard and I froze, “Ah~ So it’s true! Noona likes me~” he keep teasing me and I couldn’t help but just  laugh it off,

“Noona? Did you really know how old I am Huang Zitao? I never really talk about it with anyone you know,” I retorted back in a flirty tone, hoping that he would brush that topic before away.

“Well, I was already here when the whole office celebrated your 24^th birthday months ago,”  he said triumphantly.

Oh . Yeah. He is. Damn, I’m embarrassed and I don’t know what to do. It backfired on me. I just let out a deep sigh and try to look a little busy with my phone. I could hear him chuckled, my face is burning with embarrassment. As the elevator door opened once it arrives on the lobby, I stormed out leaving him behind tho I heard him calling for my name. I just kept striding down outside and went to the bus stop near my office building.

“Oh why don’t I just tell him that I stalk him eh?” I said to myself out of embarrassment while thinking the incident before. How should I face him tomorrow? I frowned as I remember the next day meeting that I’ve to attend with him. I bet he’ll be smug or tease me all day.

 

I can’t help but crushing on him for a while already. How he works, fast and tidy, Except the minor problems he causes with Korean reading like before of course. He’s extremely hardworking and I do remember his first day here which is almost a year ago. He was calling our  colleague, Xiumin, as “oppa~” and I laughed till I fell off my chair. Priceless memory. A sleek black car suddenly stopped infront of me and the window rolled down. I wish I could just run but my feet froze on the spot,

“Noona,” Tao called me and I looked away, pretending not to hear “I know you hear me Hyunkyung-sshi, what are you doing there?”

“What do you think? I’m mowing the lawn of course” I sarcastically smiled at him as he laughed, he made that finger gesture that asked me to come closer to him. I shook my head and looked away,

“Come on, I won’t tease you. Better than waiting outside alone, I could just drop you off at your house you know,”

“U-uh?” I was taken aback a little bit by his words, we’re not that really close but why suddenly it changed like this? Not that I mind of course. “It’s okay Tao. I’ve got to buy something at the supermarket for my little brother anyway. I’ll just go home by myself,” I politely refuse him

Instead of driving away, he step out from the car and grab my hand. My eyes opened wide as he dragged me towards the passenger door.

“Yah! Yah!” he closed the door and ran to the driver seat and set off,

“Yah! Huang Zitao~~”

“What Noona?” He laughed. I just pouted at him and put on my seatbelt. Seriously, who did he think he is to do this to me?

“You can’t just drag me like that! I’m your senior you know,”

“But I can’t risk my senior moreover a girl, to wait the bus in cold like that alone you know,” he imitated the way I talk.

“Aissh, Seriously…. How can I fight this kid,” I said as I rubbed my temple and stole a glance at him. He was actually looking at myself too with that little smirk on his lips. I looked away and try to hide my blush

“Never knew that teasing you is this fun,”

“M-Mworago?!” I squinted my eyes at him but it just makes him laugh even louder. “yah! Zitao! Just drop me on the Supermarket near here please if you still want to tease me even further,”

I sighed. When we arrived at the supermarket I quickly step out from his car and bowed down to see him in an eye level,

“Thanks for the ride,” I smiled a little, still feeling a little bit pissed with him and walk away inside the store.

 

 

 

I bought some sodas and drinks that Kyungsoo told me to buy through the text message before. He’s always bossing me around to do things, when I refused he always had the thing to make me do it in the end. I was reaching for the last lemon soda bottle on the upper shelf but suddenly another hand was reaching it behind me. It took me by surprise as I turn around to see Tao smiling down at me,

“W-Wha-What are you doing?”

“helping you getting this?” he said while taking over the cart. I just let him be, I don’t know what should I do anymore.

I was reading through the list while the two of us passed the canned goods section when an ahjumma suddenly smiled at us. We bowed back in response and I smiled at her,

“Such a cute young couple,” the ahjumma said and made my eyes almost popped out,

“A-ah, we—“ but then suddenly Tao grab me by my waist and pulled me closer to him then bowed to her once again by himself. The ?!!

“Khamsahamnida,”

Once the ahjumma left the aisle, I push my body away from him and my face feels really hot. Oh, this boy is way past my limits now.

“What the are you doing? That’s not necessary! Please, just stop all of this teasing, i got enough, okay?!” I glared at him while snatching my trolley from this babo and walk away.

It wasn’t necessary to do that I think. What is this, once we’re not that close except when we were working now we acted like 2 bestfriends all of a sudden? And what’s with his kind acts towards me since before? Is he wanted to tease me because of that incident? Me looking through his profile? Oh come on~ I know I’m being too much by yelling at him like that. But I don’t want him to toy with my feelings. What did he mean exactly with all of this that happen so sudden? Did he knew about my crush on him? Ugh! 

“Hey,” I looked behind to face his sorry face, but I just kept my newly paid stuffs close to me and stand outside the supermarket to halt a cab.

“Hyunkyung-sshi, I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to make you that mad,”

“Hmmm,” I just replied curtly without looking at him.

“I’ll take you home ok, please? as an apology.”

Still looking around but still no sign of any cab. I looked at him and saw that sad look he supported. I feel bad immediately,

“Kay,” I shrugged. Better come with him rather than waiting for a taxi that seems never came up right? And I’m late already, kyungsoo will kill me for sure.

 

He was carrying my stuffs and put them on the back seat as me take the same spot as before. We drove in silence towards my house as I gave him the address. He once said that he lived not too far from there, only 4 blocks away. Maybe that’s why he insisted to take me home. I stole a glance at him through his rear mirror. He’s so timid sometimes and that’s pretty cute. Once he was this serious man on the work, then a teaser, then now once I got mad he’s in complete silence.

“You know Tao, …”

“Mmm?”

“I-I’m sorry.. I snapped at you before. I just feel…….”

He took a glance at me, one hand on the steering wheel and another one resting between the chairs. I look at him too, because I don’t know how to voice out the words actually. I feel like this happened too fast, in such a short time. I might just held it in. He actually stopped in front of my house. I could see him turn to look at me but I keep my head down, playing with the shopping bag that I hold in my hand.

“Feel? what? You haven’t continue,” He tilted his head to one side once, questioning me. I turn to look at him and open my mouth but nothing came out from it.

“Hmm… nothing, just forget it.” I shrugged and gave a small smile. as I about to open the car door, Tao locked it again. Damn this boy~

“You can’t get out unless you tell me Noona,”

I know if I didn’t answer him he wont let me out at all. I’m tired of this tug-of-war game we play all since before, Well, I might just say it then if this will let me go. I’m kinda suffocated and my heart is beating so so fast already. screw all these 

“I feel….kind of overwhelmed,”

“Overwhelmed? Why?” now he was confused.

Because our sudden closeness? That playful and cute side of yours? Because I like you but  I don’t want to admit it and be professional? And now I think that you're playing with my feelings. and Because……. No, I won’t say it. I shook my head. Too much things on my head. I'm affraid i wont say it with the right words. I just keep quiet and shake my head.

“Just forget it Zitao,” I was about to manually unlocked the door but Tao grabbed my hand and turned me around to face him again.

“I can’t,” I in breath slowly when suddenly his face inching closer to me,

My heartbeat increased and it’s as if I could hear every little sound around me. Another heart is beating faster but it’s not from mine. I looked up at him to meet eyes with him, that deep and hypnotizing eyes. His other hand hold my chin slowly and tip it up, God…

“W-what? What are you doing Huang Zi—“

Then it happened. his soft lips landed on mine. It’s as if someone knocked the breath out of my lungs at that simple touch and I froze in place. The butterflies in my stomach are flying around and all the hairs in my head stood up as he moved his lips softly on mine. I practically frozen, still registering in my mind that this is not a dream, I haven’t even had the chance to replied the kiss but he receeded. Still looking at each other he suddenly smiled down,

“Now I feel really stupid,” he sheepishly smiled before leaning back to his seat. I’m still on the shocked state, I could only see him. He looked back at me,

“I was very careful with my feelings, but now I’m being careless,” Tao sighed and facepalm himself, “Sorry,”

I don’t know what I’m doing but my hand immediately flew to his head, petting his soft hair to soothe him. He looked up at me,

“Tell me, am I being delusional to think that….” Tao stopped in middle way, I just smiled softly and waited him to continue

“That what?”

He looks hesitating to say something. Well, If he is thinking what I’m thinking then—

“that you’re actually interested in me?” exactly. Just like what I thought and want. 

he grabbed my hand and brings it down to cup his face. “I was glad when I know you read my profiles, that you blushed when I get close to you, when you start to stutter..." he chuckled lightly. My face was heating up, damn~ "Those things means.... you are interested in me. Right? And our feelings.. about each other…. Are mutual, right? ”

I just teasingly smiled at him and came closer to his face, “Mutual? What do you think hmm?”

I could see a faint reddish color starts to creep up his face. He smiled shyly and looked down. Before looking at me with all the feelings he had inside. We both understand that this is mutual. We feel the same way. Even without words, only through our eyes we both can read it

“Well, you…”

“ssh, shut up,” I gave him a light peck that surprised him but he relaxed after it, “You’re stupid,”

“Same like you,” I stuck my tongue at him and gave him a light kiss on the tip of his nose that makes a huge grin appears on his face. As he was about to lean in and kissed me a knock on the window shocked us both and my little brother’s angry face plastered on the window scaring the hell out of us! 

“DO HYUNKYUNG! STOP SMOOCHING PEOPLE AND GET IN THE HOUSE!!! HELP ME!” then . the moment bomber do kyungsoo. Then he stormed off with a fork on his hand back to the house while me and Tao stare at his retreating figure, trying to understand what just happened.

I laughed out loud with Tao in the car after that incident.

“Your little brother?”

I nodded, “Crazy as always,”

“I thought it was your mother,” Tao said while we laughed and makes me laugh even louder. He helped me with the seatbelt and out from the car. I could hear the music coming out from the house. I turn to Tao who’s busy with the stuffs I bought before.

“Wow, a party eh?”

“Yep, celebrating my brother’s accomplishment,” I smiled at him,

“Oh, wow!” Tao nodded as he carefully look around my house. I tapped his shoulder lightly and he turns his attention back at me. Grabbing his hand I step closer to him once again,

“umm,  Would you mind to come to come inside?”
