“Yunna?” A voice called. A girl around seven years old turned her head to see her dad standing in front of her room. “Yes daddy?”

The man walked towards her daughter and kneeled in front of her. The girl closed her book she read with a smile plastered on her face. “Daddy, is it cold outside?” Yunna asked. Ilwoo smiled weakly as he touched her daughter’s face. Something bothered him since few days ago.

“Do you want to go outside?” he asked.

Her eyes shined when she heard the outside. “Can I???” she feels excited. It looks like she never went out from the house, and her room for years.

Ilwoo nodded, “yes, because today is a special day.”

She smiled widely and hugged her dad, “daddy is the best daddy ever!!!”

Ilwoo laughed sarcastically. When she released her hugged, Ilwoo stood up and held her hands walking out from her room. They walked down the stairs while laughing at some jokes Ilwoo made. A woman watched both of them from the front door. A tear fell from her eyes.

“Mommyy!!!!” Yunna saw her mother and run towards her mother to hug her. Jessica bent down to give her little daughter a hug. “Mommy, daddy let me to go out!!!” She said happily.

“Yes dear, I know…” Jessica replied. She took a glanced at her husband, Ilwoo. “Go home safely, I will wait for you” she smiled. Ilwoo held Yunna’s small hand. “I’ll be back soon” he said to his wife and kissed her forehead.

“Daddy, let’s go!!!!”

Ilwoo open the door and both of them left the house. It was snowy when they left the house. “Ohhh… so cold daddyyy!!!!”

Ilwoo wrapped his scarf around Yunna’s neck. “There you go little princess. Still cold?” Ilwoo asked. Yunna shook her head, “this is a lot warmer, I can smell daddy’s scent” she answered.

They walked quite far from the house. They both entered the forest, but she doesn’t realize it. They are now in the centre of the forest, he looked around to make sure if no one watching them.

“Daddy, where are we going?”

Ilwoo flinched. He smiled once again and kneeled in front of her. “This is a goodbye” Ilwoo said. “What do you mean daddy?” Yunna asked innocently.

Ilwoo put his forehead on hers. “Close your eyes” he gave her a command. She doesn’t know why, but she closed his eyes. In a second, she suddenly fell down but Ilwoo quickly held her body before it touches the cold snows.

“I’m sorry…” he apologized. “It’s better for you to live as a normal human than a monster like your dad, this is a very cruel world and I don’t want you to experience this nightmare” he said to himself.

“Sleep well Yunna, when you open your eyes… you are not the daughter of the clan crown prince anymore. You are a human” he kissed his daughter and put her on the ground. “Goodbye” he bid her a goodbye before he jumped onto the tree branch above him.

Ilwoo jumped from branch to another branch as fast as possible. When he arrived at his house, he can see from afar that the door is open. His wife is not a careless woman which let the door open without guarding.

Something is wrong.

When he arrived in front of the house, he rushed to the door. Ilwoo stopped his feet when he saw bloods on the floor. He entered his house with face that can’t be described. He lifted up his head to see her wife hanging herself on the rope with body full of bloods.

His fist tightened, he can’t forgive people who did this to his beloved wife.

“Hi uncle, nice to meet you again” a familiar voice spoke. A tall guy came out from his hiding place from behind one of the pillars followed by his friends. “Y…you? You did this???”

He laughed. “Yes uncle, I did this” the tall guy answered with a happy face like he didn’t do anything wrong. “Why? Jessica is really beautiful, isn’t she?” the tall guy walked towards the dead body and lifted her chin up.

“Don’t touch her!!!”

“Oops! Sorry uncle!!!” He raised both of his hands. His friends laughed at his attitude. Than the tall guy flew from the second floor to the first floor, he walked towards Ilwoo, his uncle.

“What do you want?” Ilwoo asked. He really can’t believe this, his nephew is now standing in front of him, ready to kill him.

“I want…” without any warning, in less than a second, the tall guy stabbed his uncle on the chest with bare hand. “Ah, anyway… I won’t kill her. She may be useful for me in the future” the tall figure whispered on his uncle’s ear. Ilwoo’s eyes widened, “y-you…”

Before Ilwoo could finish talking, the tall guy pulled his hand from his uncle’s body with his uncle’s heart on his hand. “Bye bye uncle!”

Ilwoo’s body dropped to the ground and slowly turned into ashes.
