Description
I was just a normal girl. One who goes to school, goes around town after, takes extra lessons in the afternoon, and goes home. That was my life. Completely normal...then...everything changed. My parents decided to move to Korea! So now, my family - parents, younger brother and sister - and I are in Korea. I'm in a new school, and everything seems OK...but what's all this talk about 'shiny'?
Foreword
This story is dedicated to our dear friend Beatrice. She's going through rough times right now, so we're writing this especially for her.

Name: Beatrice 'Bea' Rome
Age: 14 internationally, 15 Korean
Birthday: May 16 1994
Description: Pretty, tall, S-line body, brown eyed, pouty lips, dark hair and fair, milky white skin. You're slim, and you have muscled, but not to the point where you have muscle lines and you can run your nails down your ab lines. You keep a diet that maintains that dainty but actually really strong on the inside look.
Characteristics:
You're confident - not the bossy, snotty type, more like the type that can make one want to be more by simply being near you. And even though you're confident, you have enough humility that you don't flaunt around.
You're cold and calculating: you try not to take a step forward with anything without fully seeing what the consequences will be if you do.
Even though you're cold, you are warm and kind hearted to those that you care about.
You're the type that if you make friends with someone, you'll be close with them fast. Like...hugging and holding hands within the first week fast.
You like to sleep - even in places you're not supposed to.
You're hard working when you want something, but you mostly just laze around on things you're not that enthusiastic about.
When you get mad...you tend to rant in all the languages you know - and since you know 8...well...things get complicated sometimes.
You always have something sweet with you - candy, chocolate bar, ers etc. Your fast metabolism forces you to consume up to 9,000 calories each day or else your body will start to starve itself.
You're smart. Like really, REALLY smart. You've already skipped a grade, and you could again, but when you asked your 'parents' - friends - on what they thought, they said it wasn't a good idea. You need to keep in touch with people around your age group, they said. You took their advice well, so you didn't skip another grade. You just stayed one year ahead your age group. But because of this, you get bored in class. To the point where you see class time as nap time - another reason as to why people didn't like you was because even though you slept in classes and barely took notes, you still maintained the top in class.
You LOVE sports. You actually didn't know this at first. But when your 'appa' and 'umma' forced all those self defense classes on you, and you took dancing lessons, you noticed how all those physical activities made you feel. You liked it, so you took interest in sports. Your favorite sports are Volleyball, Soccer, Swimming, Dancing, and Basketball.
SHINee:
At first you didn't know them.
You went to Korea about a month or two after their debut.
Your first contact with them was with Tae Min - you're the new student in his school. You met him on your first week when you saw how some upperclassmen girls were surrounding him and bullying him.
When you finally, officially, met them you guys maintain a close friendship.

Umma: *She won't be making appearances much at first. Mostly, she'll just be mentioned a lot*
Name: Maria Theresa Brookes
Age: 14 internationally, 15 Korean
Info: She loves to spoil you. You guys met at a peer tutoring program and ever since then have become inseperable. You trust her completely and she does the same to you. She decided to be your 'Umma' the day you became friends.
Appa: *Same with umma, he won't be making much appearances. Mostly though, you'll hear from him through phonecalls*
Name: Michelle Louis Rafaelli
Age: 15 internationally, 16 Korean
Info: You guys met at the same place with your umma - considering they barely leave each others side. At first he seemed quiet, but at the end you find out that he's usually like that out in public. When in private, he's more hyper and himself. He also loves to spoil you and became 'Appa' the moment you got 'Umma'
Other Notes:
Watch out on the first chapter. It's rather slow, and it's meant to have you catch up with what's going on so far. I suggest reading our other story 'This CANNOT be Happening' before this if you want to fully understand what's going on.
That story and this are connected in a way. If you want 'you' to end up with Taemin. Go forward with this. If you want to be with Onew, read that one. That story can be found here:

And if you've read my other stories, you've probably realized that 'you' seem to know a lot, or from a rich family, or know someone of a rich family. That's because...well, I don't know any other lifestyle. I'm born in a rich family, and I have perfect memory. I can't really see any other point of view on things.
We'll post the next chapter when we're done with the second chapter of 'A life worth mentioning' and the first chapter of 'This CANNOT be happening'.
