It had been a long day for Infinite. Their first solo concert was only a few weeks away so the boys had been practicing day in and day out to perfect all of their routines and make sure that their very first concert was a success.

After saying goodbye to the boys, Sunggyu left their dance studio and began the short journey home where his beloved would hopefully be waiting for him. Due to his hectic schedules and her job as a high school teacher they didn’t get to spend a lot of time together, it bothered him immensely but he was just grateful that she understood that he couldn’t always be with her.

Sighing as he finally reached the apartment complex; he punched in the code and opened the door, deciding to take the stairs, he jogged up to the 4^th floor, saying a quick hello to a neighbour who was going in the opposite direction. As he reached the front door he dug out the keys from his pocket and slowly opened the door; not wanting to make any noise. He dropped his bag onto the floor, took his shoes off and disposed of both his keys and his jacket before stepping fully into the apartment shutting the door behind him.

Looking at his watch he saw that it was only half past eleven, “Baby, are you awake?” he softly called as he began his search for her. He opened the door to their bedroom and quickly scanned the room, but to his disappointment she wasn’t there, he didn’t hear any sign of her in the bathroom either so he carried on his search. Arriving in the living room he began to frown when he still couldn’t find her, but that’s when he noticed the light on in the kitchen. Quickly hurrying around the sofa he stopped in his tracks to find the woman he loved fast asleep on the kitchen table. She was surrounded by stacks of books and papers, her head lay in-between her arms and there was still a pen clutched in her hand. He couldn’t help but chuckle as he made his way over to her, crouching next to her to be at eye level.

Carefully he brushed some of her hair away from her eyes but his frown reappeared when he noticed the bags under her eyes. How long had they been there? Was it because of him? Why hadn’t he noticed them before? True he had barely seen her all week but it upset him to think that she was losing sleep and he hadn’t noticed.

Taking the pen out of her hand, he slowly slipped his right arm underneath her knees and caught her head as he picked her up. He stood silent for a minute as she stirred in his arms and rested her head against his shoulder. Once he was sure she was asleep he took her into their bedroom, pulled the covers away with some difficulty and carefully laid her down on her side of the bed. Luckily she was already dressed in one of his t-shirts so he carefully removed the sweats she was wearing and pulled the covers over her. He stopped to gaze at her for a few seconds and took in her beauty like he had done so many times before; giving her forehead a quick gentle kiss he disappeared into the bathroom to take a shower.

You slowly opened your eyes. How did you get into bed? The last thing you remembered was marking your student’s books and that was in the kitchen, but your train of thought derailed as you heard the shower turn on. You softly smiled; Sunggyu was home, you figured that you had fallen asleep at the kitchen table and he had moved you. Rubbing your eyes softly you turned to look at the clock on your bedside table; the clock read 11:42pm, ‘he’s home early’ you thought. Lying back down on your back you gazed at the ceiling as you waited for your beloved to finish his shower.

Whilst you waited you let your mind wander, drifting back into past memories of your childhood back in England, the crazy antics of your students, your first day in Korea. But a smile lit your face as you began to reminisce how you and Sunggyu first met; you didn’t even notice that the shower had turned off.

You and Sunggyu’s love story wasn’t dramatic or over the top, it was just a plain simple love story. Originally you had been approached by Woollim Entertainment to teach some of their artists English; you had accepted, albeit hesitantly and you had been assigned to teach Infinite and you taught them English on the days where their schedules weren’t too busy. It wasn’t love at first sight but as you continued to spend more time with each other, your feelings for each other grew and grew. It wasn’t until the two of you were tricked and locked in a closet together by the boys of Infinite did you both finally confess your feelings for one another. And one year on your still going strong and a month ago you moved in with each other, ready to take your relationship that step further.

Still reminiscing, you didn’t even notice Sunggyu exit the bathroom dressed in light blue cotton pyjama bottoms and a plain top with a towel around his neck. Quickly towelling his hair dry he climbed into bed and after noticing that you were awake he snuggled into your side and kissed your neck, chuckling when you squeaked at the sudden contact.

Rolling onto your side so you could face one another; you rubbed your noses together and you squeaked rather loudly again when Sunggyu poked your side again earning him a light slap on the arm.

“What were you thinking so deeply about?” he whispered as he began to your hair, running his fingers through your slightly knotted, curly hair.

 “Hmmm, you” you replied as your eyes shut at his touch.

He couldn’t help but smirk at your answer and rolled to lie on his back bringing you with him so you were now snuggled into his side, “I’ve missed you so much” you whispered, “It gets awful lonely without you here” You lifted your head off of his chest to look into his eyes as you spoke, eventually leaning on your elbow as you looked into each other’s eyes.

“I’ve missed you too” he replied and he leaned up slightly to give your lips a soft tender kiss, before laying back down, one hand now softly up your arm whilst the other rested on his stomach as you continued to lean on your elbow.

“I’m sorry I haven’t been around much lately, I’ve haven’t been a very good boyfriend but I promise you, I’ll make it up to you” he said.

“You have no need to, I knew what I was getting into when I confessed and agreed to be your girlfriend, plus I’ve been busy too so you have nothing to be sorry for and nor do you have to make it up to me. Just being with you like this is more than enough for me” you hastily replied as you placed your hand on his chest and started to draw circles.

“But…”

“No buts” you interrupted as you pushed your fingers against his lips to stop him from talking, “You don’t owe me anything except all of the kisses I’ve missed out on all week”, and you removed your finger and pouted cutely as you gazed down at him.

“Well then would you like to collect what I owe?” Sunggyu asked wiggling his eyebrows.

“Yes. I. would” and you closed the very short distance between you both.

One of the things that you loved about Sunggyu was how tenderly he kissed and handled you, and now was no exception. He took your chin with one hand as his other hand firmly grasped your hip and pulled you so you were now effectively lying on top of him. You pressed your weight onto him and placed your hands under your chin, slightly lifting your head to give Sunggyu easy access.

He placed kiss after tender kiss onto your lips; lips that he had missed so much. After several minutes he gave you one long slow kiss and pulled away. Lying back, he placed one of his hands on your head and the other one on your back, your head resting against his chest so he was cradling you; he continued to slowly your hair and gazed up at the ceiling. No words were needed to be spoken; you both knew how the other felt.

After a while Sunggyu glanced down; you were fast asleep with your hair sprawled out across his chest, your head rising and falling with each breath Sunggyu took and your hands lying lightly on his shoulders. Kissing the top of your head he finally settled down, knowing that the woman he loved was safely asleep with him. Soon after he fell asleep with a smile on his face.
