PLOT: Bang Yong guk and Kim Namjoo were the best of friends; ever since they were born they hung out, had sleepovers, basically did everything with each other.  But as they were growing older, yong guk was getting more and more handsome, so handsome that by the time they got to their first year in high school he was named an ulzzang; all the girls loved him and they even had a fanclub for him.  Namjoo on the other hand... through time she was getting chubbier and chubbier and her face was big with all that baby fat she still had; all in all she wasnt very attractive but that didnt matter to her at all.  Namjoo has had a crush on yong guk ever since middle school and she liked him for the sole reason was that he didnt look on the exterior but the interior.  Though she felt her feelings were unrequited, it was not true.  Yong guk also liked Namjoo back for her preserverance, stubbornness, bright sunshiney smile and attitude, just everything about her.  Though, as said, once they got to the first year of high school yong guk was praised by girls and boys alike while namjoo was cast aside.  yong guks fangirls threatened to harm any girl that tried to act close to him, whichin included "ugly" Namjoo; yong guk hated the thought of seeing namjoo get bullied or hurt because of him so he did the only thing that thought would save her: abandoning her.  He simply refused to hang out with her, talk to her, or acknowledge her prescence.  She was less than a stranger to him now.  Namjoo, not knowing what was happening became depressed as the one person she's ever liked in her whole life has cast her aside as if she was nothing; because of her depression namjoo decided to move along with her mother, yong guk sad over her decision.  After her leave, their friendship was severed forever... Namjoo promised to never ever meet Yong guk again... but of course fate would pull them back together... 7 years later at the age of 21.
