The Color of Blood

Description

“Why are you anxious when you’ve been surrounded by the Craft since birth?”

“I…”  Yeonji hesitated, staring intently at her grandmother’s withered face for any signs of unease.  “Isn’t it what killed umma?”  The flickering candlelight threw shadows across the old woman’s solemn features, seemingly etching her wrinkles deeper into her age-lined skin—but maybe that was simply Yeonji’s imagination playing tricks on her.
 
“Magic is only scary to those who do not understand it,” her grandmother said quietly.  “It is people you should be wary of, child.”

Alternate universe - OC and setting inspired by the "Little Red Riding Hood" fairy tale—more twist than strict retelling.

I already knew that Woohyun was the wolf at the first chapter. I really enjoyed reading this. I had thought it would be another cliche red riding hood story but you proved me wrong. Keep up the good work :3

Chapter 3: Surprisingly enchanting for a supposed fairy tale of sorts :) I don't usually like fairy tales and such but this was simply amazing, what with the twist at the end. Thank you for sharing this! :)

Chapter 3: This is a tad weird, but I admit to having a soft spot for fairy tale beasts, that's probably the reason why I love Red Riding Hood and Beauty and the Beast so much :) And that combined with Nam Woohyun of all people...Made this story a REALLY good read. Thank you xD (I keep hoping for a sequel...)

Chapter 3: I aldy keep an eye on Woohyun when he was gone so fast after he sent her home. Then when he decided to travel along but have nothing with him, not even a knife that's just plain weird for a hunter. So I kind of see that coming except when the real hunter said Woohyun betrayed her, well that one was quite a shock. And no.. I never read the comment below. I dont like spoiler. Glad I didnt. It's a good story. Although I am really curious how their friendship go on after this story. But even if it's a happy ending? Is it even? I cant help but feel sorry for him. :\
