chapter three  maybe             Sojin woke up the next day, to find herself sprawled on the floor, near the kitchen door. "I must've fallen asleep yesterday." She mumbled.   Last night's incident popped up in her mind. She stood up and hurriedly ran inside the kitchen. As expected, no one. She grew confused an ran to her father's office, furiously banging on his door. "Dad, open up!" She yelled. There was a noise inside the office but no one seemed to open the door. "Dad, you there?" Sojin repeat, confused. She wrapped her fingers around the door knob and slowly pushed the door open.   "Dad," she whispered, "where are you?"    Glancing around the office, she slowly stepped inside. Her father was nowhere to be found.   BANG!   The door behind her closed abruptly. The girl gasped and turned around, trying to unlock the door. "Is anyone out there?" She bit her lips, placing her left ear against the door.   "You scared her, why did you do that?" "What if she finds out about us?" "All of us shall go hide and then hyung can unlock the door." "Then where am I supposed to go?" "Run."   After the last statement, the door unlocked on its own and the silhouette of a couple of boys could be seen passing her door. Sojin peeped through the small gap of the door, her eyes glancing all over the corridor. She could hear heavy breathings everywhere. Sweat started forming on her forehead, panic rushed all over her body, who's out there? It couldn't be- them, right? The girl slowly pulled open the door, be brave, Sojin. She thought.   "W- who's there?" "Nobody!" A voice answered, followed by a whisper from someone else, which sounds something like "You idiot." Sojin silently giggled, "Were you the mouse in the kitchen, yesterday night?" "M-maybe." the 'mouse' answered. "Can you, tell me your name?" Sojin replied back. "I will, if you'll be a good girl and go back inside your father's office." Sojin shuddered, it was the first time she heard such a long reply form the other person.   She ran back inside her father's office and slammed the door shut. She leaned against the door and hugged her knees, was she really talking to a mouse, or is it one of them? After a couple of noises, which sounds like they were running, there was a sudden knock on the door. Sojin stood up almost immediately, as she stared at the door with her eyes widened.   The door swung open, her father standing in front of his own office, "What are you doing inside my office?" Sojin didn't reply, but ran and hug her father instead. "Dad, where have you been? I- I thought-" "Go back to your room, dear." He closed the door, leaving his daughter outside. "What the hell." Sojin sighed and go back into her room.   Mr. Park ruffled his hair in frustration. He had received another package earlier, and he had to check to the post office if they had a mistake delivering the package. One, two, three, four, five, six. He counted the voodoo dolls, there were six of them. "I should really talk about this with my daughter tomorrow." He noted. He hid those six voodoo dolls in the storage room. "Let's just hope she won't find these." He shook his head and heaved a big sigh. These dolls were creepy as hell, and he had to admit.
