Because … I have experienced it myself ….

I can’t say that I have a bad life. Not that I care anyways. I have a lot of good friends….. but, I never had the courage to tell them who my crush is …. He’s actually …. His name is Lee Taemin …. I know, a lot of girls may fall in love with him. I mean, he has a lot of charms. He’s cute, handsome, kind-hearted, fun to be with, etc.

But somehow, when I called out to him. He just ignored me. It pisses me off but … I still can’t get him out of my mind ……

            “Lee Jihyun! Jihyun-ah!” a friend of mine called my name.

            “y-yes! What is it?”

            She scratches her nape, “aren’t we going to make our presentation or something?”

            I nodded dumbly, “oh, y-yeah! I forgot!”

I glance at Taemin who happily chatted with his friends. Even though we’re in the same class, he doesn’t even know I exist here. I just wish, I could be closer to him … somehow ….

            “hey! You there!” someone throwed a piece of rolled paper onto my head.

“h-hey! That’s so impolite of you!” I realized that the one who throwed the paper to me was….

“do I have to?” he rolled his eyeballs.

Even with his personality like that, I can’t seem to wash him from my heart that easily ….. “what do you want?” I asked him, roughly.

Taemin smirks, “you don’t have to pretend that you’re brave or something …..”

I turn my back to him, and continue my work …. Wow, I’m so brave afteral ……

Lunchtime at the cafeteria…..

            “Jihyun-ah~!” my bestfriend, Heera called me.

            I approach her, smiling, “annyeong~! Wassup today?”

“nothing much, but … you do know the guy from your homeroom class? Lee Taemin?” Heera asked while her eyes are twinkling.

I shrugged, “I dunno …. What about him?”

“he’s just sooo cute and charming.. don’t you think so?”

“sheesh, everybody says that he’s charming …. Duuh …”

“even you does?” she asked me.

I shook my head.

“well, if you liked him, I’m going to have a tough competition between you ..” she chuckled.

“why?” I asked.

She giggles, “you’re too cute…. No guy could ever resist you ….”

Well, she says that, but … honestly, she’s more beautiful and cuter than I am. In fact, everyday she gains at least 5 love letter in her locker. Uhh …. I really envy her… if only I’m in her position right now…..

School dismissed …..

            “ackk!! Jihyun-ah!” Heera freaked out.

            I rolled my eyeballs, “what is it??”

            “he’s looking at you~!” Heera pointed at a guy.

“oh, Taemin? No, he’s looking at you … look, he’s approaching you …” I glanced at the grinning Heera.

I watched as Taemin walk towards us. I fell silence as I move backwards to give Heera and Taemin some space. Taemin touched Heeera’s hair on purpose. I’m so shocked, I can’t move an inch. Ouch … my heart …..

            “may I know your name, miss??” Taemin smiled at Heera.

Heera’s face grew red, “u-uhm … I gotta go home now … a-annyeong..” Heera dragged me somewhere outside school.

“and you ruined your exclusive chance to know him better …” I rolled my eyeballs.

Okay, I lied…. It really hurts seeing those two together. Thank goddess Heera dragged me somewhere. Or else, I’ll be hurt more….

            “I … I’m kinda nervous ….” Heera bowed her head.

I lift her face up …. “you’re beautiful …. No one can resiust your charm… believe me, a lot of guys has fallen in love with you ….”

She looked as nervous as ever .. “but … you’re … you loved him, don’t you?? How can I hurt my own bestfriend??”

I’m shocked, is it obvious? “n-no! I don’t like him! His attitude is something that we can’t say charm!”

“haha … umm … okay, I’ll do my best next time … thanks for couraging me ….” Heera hugged me.

OMYGOSH!! I’m soooo late today!! I hope I won’t get any detention!! I ran through the hallway as I open the door to my homeroom class….. and there stands …

            “No one??”

A friend of mine, Chaemin spotted me, “oh, joheun achime, Jihyun-ah ….” He greeted me casually.

“uhm … where’s our teacher?”

“he’ll probably skip teaching us today. I heard he had been hospitalized for 2 days straight ….” Chaemin shrugged.

I glanced at Taemin, who rushing to my side, “Jihyun-ah, Jihyun-ah!!” he dragged me outside my class ….

What the hell ….?? is he sick or something?? Hmm … he’s being to cheerful today … I don’t remember him being this nice to me ….

            “hey, you know your bestfriend, right?” Taemin hugged my arm.

            I’m surprised, “u-uhmm … who?”

            “ugh, she was walking home with you yesterday!!” he yelled.

            “oooh! Heera??”

            “ah yes, Heera. How much do you know about her??” his eyes twinkled.

            I gulped, “u-uhm ….”

            “she’s soo cute, isn’t she?” he grinned.

            Wh-wha-?!

            “I think I have fallen in love with her ….”

I … I can’t believe it. All this time, I’ve been waiting for him. Just …. Why don’t you confess to me instead?? Why Taemin-ah, WHY????

I’ve been crying all night long so I didn’t go to school today …. I’m sick of this one-sided love … maybe, if I could forget him someway …..

“Jihyun-ah!! How are you?? I heard you haven’t been in school for 3 days …” Heera cried my name.

            I chuckled, “thanks for worrying. But I’m extremely fine now …” I smiled.

            “hey … I wanna tell you something….” She looked extremely happy.

I hope this is a good news. At least my bestfriend is happy today … unlike me, who had a terrible feelings .. I hope her heart filled with joy ….

            “yesterday … Taemin …” Heera spoke …

            I waited for her next words, “yesterday he confessed to me!” she giggled.

            CRACK!! My heart …. “A-And…??”

            “I accept his feelings!!” she shouted happily.

I don’t know what to say, I try to hold my tears. I hope it won’t fall down ….. all these years I waited for him. But now, he just …. He loved someone else…. Aigoo … I really shouldn’t be too confident …. It hurts really bad …

           “c-chukahae…. Heera-ya … I’m happy for you…” I smiled.

           “Jagi-ya~!” someone behind Heera shouted.

            It’s obviously Taemin, “ahh … let’s go to the canteen together today, shall we?”

            Heera nodded and smiled sweetly, “of course, jagi~!” she replies.

I waved at Heera …..

a tear dropped before my eye ....

Taemin doesn't really deserve my tears, does he??

And Heera had a wonderful life, when can i?
