“What do you mean I have to get married??”

Minho stood up from his seat angrily, almost knocking his chair down.

“Son, calm down…”

“What do you mean calm down? Forcing me to get married with some girl I don’t know and I don’t wish to get involved with? I’m only 20! And heck why must it be that Jessica ? I hate her. You know I hate her.”

“Minho, this is for the company. President Jung is interested with this merging business. He likes you. And it’s not that I want you to get married now. Just get engaged, make sure our company’s status is stable, then…”

“Then what?” Minho said menacingly, gripping his fist on the edge of the table. “Leave her like that? Find another woman and create scandals just for the world to see us? I’m not like you dad.”

President Choi rose from his seat, eyeing his son dangerously. “Watch your mouth, Choi Minho.”

 “It’s the truth anyway.” Minho snickered, shaking his head disbelievingly. “I can’t believe you dad. I know our company doesn’t do well these days, but selling your own son so that the market will rise? I expect better from the great President Choi; the King of all Manufacturing companies.”

“I’ll do anything to save the company.” President Choi said through gritted teeth.

“And I’ll not marry someone I despise just to save yours.”

The room fell silent. “Fine.” President Choi sighed. “Then I’ll leave for you to decide.”

“Huh?”

“You didn’t forget the fact that you’re my son and the only heir for my company. It’s part of your responsibility too.  So I’d like you to see what you’ll do. Do something for the company; come with ideas, strategies, marketing plans. Since I couldn’t do much and you’re my son; hopefully you can get a few strong ideas or two. Though I don’t really expect much from the results you’re getting in business school.”

Minho’s face turned pale. President Choi smirked. “Easy right? Or…” He came closer to his, eyes stared boringly into his son’s. “Find a girl other than Jessica Jung; someone you think she’s worth for you and the family.” President Choi patted his son’s shoulder. “So what do you say?”

Minho stepped out from his father’s office solemnly. He knew himself he’s not capable yet on handling the business. He’s not confident enough. And his studies, “Haish!” he ruffled his hair in frustration. His father knew his weakness. Although he’s stubborn like this, he couldn’t bear to see the company fall without him doing anything for it. And he couldn’t refuse challenges; and his father was challenging him then. So it was left to other option. Where could he find a rich girl quality enough to be his bride without him regretting later? He knew a LOT of girls, but he wasn’t romantically inclined to them. Plus most of them were either from a medium-class society or completely snobby princesses, or his friend’s exes he swore he never touch.

“Minho?” Minho jerked out from his thoughts and saw his sister looking up at him in concern.

“Are you alright?” Jinhee placed a hand on his cheek, patting it softly. “Did appa give you a hard time again?” Minho threw his hands around Jinhee, burying his face on her neck.

“Noona. Help me!”
