Sixty Minutes to Midnight
Description
The night before Chinese New Year is pretty much the perfect time to pull off a heist. Fireworks to drown out alarms, bored guards to slip right past, and throngs of people to blend right into...Onew couldn't have planned things better if he tried. He and his team are about to score their biggest payoff yet, right under the noses of millions of unsuspecting people.
But Onew forgot one thing- Chinese New Year is a sacred night and the spirit of the Dragon is not happy that the last night of her year is being dishonored by a bunch of amateur thieves. Her ire is further aroused when she learns that the trinket they stole is something she's been searching for since the late 1800s. And she doesn't care about breaking tradition to punish them for this offense. But she has to do it fast, before her time is up.
Onew is smart enough to know that his little stunt won't go unnoticed for long, and he's got plenty of tricks up his sleeves for dealing with the police. But when he finally comes face to face with his pursuer, he realizes he might have bitten off more than he can chew.
Onew's team is running out of time, but so is the spirit of the Dragon. After all, there are just sixty minutes left until midnight.
Foreword
This is my first attempt at writing romance, people, so it may take a while. Also, romance isn't going to be the focus of the fic, so sorry to disappoint you if you were expecting a love story.
Many thanks to my unni and beta, nalaboja! I couldn't have done this without her!
Update: Thanks so much to TheChickWithThePlan for making my poster AND background! Is she the best or what? Love you! <3
