“Oh!—! !”

Nicole Jung ran along the sidewalk while occasionally glancing at her watch. It was already 9.15 AM and school started at 9 AM. This time she was too late. Moreover, the first period was Narsha sonsaengnim’s class, the most strict teacher. It it wasn’t her mother who talked about debts last night, she wouldn’t be late like this.

“Hoi! C’mon!”

A boy stopped his sport bike in front of Nicole.

“Oh, Jinwoon-ah. You’re my savior.” Nicole gave him her relieved look that she didn’t have to run a few more blocks to reach the school. She immediately sat behind Jung Jinwoon, her bestfriend who rides his bike as fast as he could.

Less than five minutes, they arrived at the school parking lot. Nicole looked around, there were already some students that seems they were late too just like her. And Nicole was sure the teachers would notice them too.

“Hey you!”

Damn, cursed Nicole and Jinwoon.

They walked toward the teachers, gave them their innocent look. A teacher told them to follow the students who had late first. They all had to run the football fields in fifteen times.

“If I knew this would happen, I wouldn’t go to school then,” said a boy with jet black hair in front of Nicole.

“Let’s go home. The teachers are inside,” said his friend.

“Then c’mon!”

They really did it. Nicole couldn’t believe them. They both took their bags under a tree and simply jumped over the school gate and laughed behind it.

“Those kids these days,” Nicole whispered.

“I know who they are. They’re Kim Kibum and Kim Jonghyun from class 2-2,” said Jinwoon who still kept running in behind Nicole.

“I don’t care about them,” replied her.

“Oh man—hope Seohyun didn’t see me like this. It’s so shame.”

“Hurry up! Narsha sonsaengnim will kill us if we’re too late.” Nicole supported Jinwoon while kept running.

“What nonsense is this that you just come in my class at this time?! Look! It’s already 10.10AM!” Narsha sonsaengnim seemed very angry when Nicole and Jinwoon arrived at the class with full of sweat. She pointed angrily at the classroom clock.

“Don’t blame us, Sam. It was Park sonsaengnim who made us like this,” protest Jinwoon to defends himself.

“Okay then go to your seat. I’ll talk to Park sonsaengnim later.” The teacher told her late student although she was still upset. “Additional homework for you two because it has been more than our late.”

“All right, all rigth. If that makes the beautiful teacher happy,” said Jinwoon.

“Your seduces doesn’t work for me, Jung Jinwoon.”

Nicole pulled out her history book. Narsha sonsaengnim glanced at her and smiled cynically.

“You don’t have to open your book now. My class is over. Collect your homework the next day on my desk. Good morning. See you next week.” The teacher left the classroom and all students suddenly felt relief.

“She’s scary,” said Nicole.

“But beautiful,” replied Jinwoon while his bestfriend rolled her eyes.

Class suddenly became noisier than usual. Almost all students pulled up their head to look to the hallway.

“It’s student counselor!” The class president gave the announcement.

All students return to their seats immeadiatly as the three most famous and coolest students in school appeared and stood in front of the class, looking to the students one by one.

“Class president!” said Jinki, the president of student counselor who stood in the middle.

The class president stood up from his seat. “Yes, sunbaenim?”

“The absence list of this month, please?” asked Jinki. “Now we’re going to have inspection to your bag. Please put your bag on the desk while Vice President I Seohyun and Vice President II Taemin will check your bag one by one.”

Nicole put her bag on the desk. Next to her, Jinwoon seemed very enthuasiastic and excited.

“What’s wrong? You meet her everyday, don’t you?” She knew that her bestfriend was so happy to meet his crush.

“It’s so rarely that I can see her so close like this,” said Jinwoon.

Jinwoon gave his bag to Seohyun when she was checking other students bag. She turned to him and took his bag.

“Hi Jinwoon,” said Seohyun with her eye-smile. “I didn’t see you at the first period in class. Late huh?”

“Yeah, hehe. The old Park beat me up again.” Jinwoon paid attention to Seohyun who was checking his bag. There were wallet, cellphone, headphone, bike and house keys, deodorant, perfume, notebooks, sport magazine, and subject books. After that, Seohyun put them back to the bag.

“Next time, do not bring magazine, okay?” Seohyun whispered so that Jinki couldn’t hear.

“Why? It’s only a sport magazine not a magazine.”

“As long as it’s not about education, you’re not allowed to bring them. Relax, I’m not going to tell Jinki sunbae.”

Jinwoon stunned as Seohyun left him. He returned to his desk. Nicole looked him with curious.

“What was she tell about?” asked Nicole.

Jinwoon was still silent. He looked really like an idiot.

“Hey!”

“You know what, Cole. Seohyun is so pretty,” said her bestfriend.

“Huh?!”

This's actually only the half of the first chapter.
