I sat on my bed with my legs criss-crossed. My violin lay on the gray sheets of my bed, parallel to my knees. The weather raged outside my thick windows. This was my kind of weather. The minute I heard rain, I put down my violin and focused on the soothing noise of heavy rain and mellow thunder. I let my eyes wander around my small room and focus on a small picture frame upon my dresser. The frame itself was full of doodles and notes. It smelled of fresh pine (despite being a decade old) and sharpie. The photo behind the glass shield showed me and my two greater thirds, my best friends.

The photo was from our early days; maybe sixth grade. My imagination replayed the day it was taken and it came to life. The seagulls crying. The frigid gray ocean sloshing and pounding. The salty breeze.  Dongwoo and Kiseop had me raised above their heads, threatening to hurl me into the sea. I wore a floral sundress, clashing with the dark sky, while Kiseop was in shorts and a warm-looking black hoodie. Dongwoo, on the other hand, was shirtless and dark wash jeans. I chuckeled, remembering when the flock of gulls flying overhead letting loose a synchronized load on poor Dongwoo. Hence, the lack of a top. I let out a reminiscent sigh.
