The air in the room was hot, just like it had always been after every rehearsal with the group. They members were lifeless and panting with each breath, their bodies scattered all around the studio floor, emitting even more heat into the atmosphere.

"Ah, I can't take this," Chanyeol grunts while he massages the back of his neck, "It's too hot in here. I gotta go cool off outside or something." The tall boy jumps up to his feet and wipes away the sweat dripping down his forehead. He pinches the center of his shirt and peels it off his skin, shaking it to let some air in as he headed for the door.

"I'm going too," Kyungsoo pants, following Chanyeol's gestures on the way out. Although tempted, the rest of the members had no more energy left to get up.

"Ah, hyung! I need your iPod for a second," Kai calls, lifting his head from the floor waiting for a response, but Kyungsoo had already disappeared from the room. He rolls over on his stomach and pushes himself up.

"I'm gonna use it!" he echoes, knowing that it wouldn't have made a difference anyway. He starts digging through the pockets of Kyungsoo's bag.

"You know he can't hear you anymore, right?" Sehun joins him at the table, dabbing his neck with a towel. Kai looks up, meeting Sehun's eyes through the mirror in front of them and laughs.

"Well he can't say I didn't tell him," he scoffs, the iPod now in his hands with a pair of tangled earphones dangling on the side, "I just need to know the title of the song he showed me yest--"

His words were lost at the click of a button and the expression on his face had dropped. Sehun, taken aback by Kai's sudden reaction, leaned over to see what was on the screen that caused him to do so, but Kai had already turned it off before he could take a look.

Sehun raises a brow, watching his hyung rush to put the iPod back, "What was that about?"

The amount of sympathy in Kai's eyes was indescribable, "He's listening to it again.."
