On this day, Hoya was sitting at the bench where he and Eunji used to spend their time together.

He gently caressed the silver bracelet that she once gave him on his birthday.

“Hoya pabo…” he was smiling like a fool with tears on his eyes.

His phone kept ringing but he didn’t feel like answering it.

“Just this once… let me forget you, Eunji”

Hoya arrived late which earned him a lecturing from Sunggyu

“Hyung, don’t ruin our baby girl’s day by scolding her best friend” cooed Dongwoo as he tried to calm Sunggyu down

“You’re lucky I’m in a good mood today” Sunggyu eyed Hoya from head to toe before leaving

“Don’t mind him, he’s just having his monthly visit” Woohyun tried to ease Hoya by joking around about Sunggyu being so uptight

“Yah! I heard that Nam Woohyun, you’re sleeping outside tonight!” Sunggyu hollered making Woohyun regret what he just said

“C’mon hyung, I was only joking! Don’t be like that… I still have to go to work tomorrow”

Hoya was able to smile for a while. However, that smile was removed when he saw Eunji. She was radiating.

Hoya couldn’t stop staring at her. She was too beautiful, especially in her wedding dress. She spotted him and instantly walked towards his direction.

“Hoaegi! I missed you” she happily hug the boy who she hasn’t seen for 7 years

“Aigoo, how did my best friend get so beautiful?” he replied which made Eunji blush.

“Yah! How dare you miss the wedding ceremony… I was waiting for you too!” Eunji lightly punched Hoya on the chest

“I’m sorry.. I had some stuff to do” he lied. The reason Hoya didn’t go was be because he couldn’t bear to watch the girl he loved walk down the aisle with another man.

“Excuses” Eunji stuck out her tongue which made Hoya chuckle. Despite being away for so long, Eunji’s attitude didn’t change a bit.

Eunji was getting tired from greeting all of the guest so she decided to sneak outside.

 She was admiring the garden when someone suddenly tapped her on the shoulder.

“Wahh! Yah! Hoya, stop doing that!” Eunji turned around to see Hoya holding in his laughter

“Old habits die hard” he playfully flicked Eunjion the forehead which made the younger one pout.

The two best friends were walking around  but came to a halt when they spotted a beautiful gazebo.

“Care to dance?” asked Hoya with a smile on his face

“But there’s no music”

“That’s easy” Hoya took out his phone and played a song

“You planned this, didn’t you?” asked an amused Eunji as she looked at Hoya who just shrugged his shoulders.

“Can I have this dance?” Hoya offered his hand which Eunji gladly took.

They started swaying to the music. Eunji was happily gazing at Hoya when he decided to speak

“You know, I was planning on using this as a song for my wedding”

Eunji let out a chuckle

“With Tiffany?”

“No, with you.” Just hearing those words made Eunji stop and stare at Hoya.

Too shocked to say anything, Hoya took hold of her hand

“The day you left was also the day I realized how much you mean to me” Hoya was choosing his words carefully.

“Why now?” Hoya smiled as he gently placed a loose hair behind Eunji’s ear

“ Let’s just enjoy the moment, alright?” Hoya hugged Eunji, who was too shocked to do anything

“I purposely missed your wedding because I couldn’t afford to see you walk down the aisle with another man.” Hoya looked at Eunji, her eyes are now covered with tears

“Hey, don’t cry… today’s your wedding day” Hoya used his thumb to wipe away her tears

“I’m so sorry… I-I know you’ll find someone better” Eunji took hold of the hem of Hoya’s shirt

“I already did and she’s standing right in front of me” hearing this made Eunji sob louder

“Pabo! How can you be like that?!” Eunji kept on hitting Hoya

“Hey, I’d still be here for you…” Hoya took hold of her hand and gazed into her eyes

“Promise me that no matter what happens, we’d still be friends” Eunji could only nod her head in response. Hoya hugged her tightly so that she won’t see the tears that are also forming in his eyes.

“I may not be the one who would wake up beside you every morning but, I’ll make sure I’ll always be there when you need me” overwhelmed by Hoya’s confession, Eunji kissed his cheeks.

For that moment, Hoya felt like Eunji was his even for a while. All the regrets he had for the past years were buried. He vowed that as long as Eunji’s happy, he would be too.

“Eunji! Where are you?” a male voice came calling out

“Oh no, Jae oppa…” uttered Eunji when she heard his husband’s voice

“Go, I bet he’s looking for you…” Hoya let Eunji go and insisted her on going back inside

Before Eunji left, she gave Hoya one last hug.

“Thank You, Hoaegi” Eunji took one last look before running back inside

Hoya was looking at her retreating figure

“Saranghae,Eunji”

I was debating whether I should upload this story or not...

I guess my mind got carried away after watching Reply 1997 ^^ since the show features Eunji and Hoya, I decided to use those two for this story. PinkFinite <3

It was supposedly an OC type of fic. but I think Eunji would be more nice :)

I have yet to upload other chapters from my other stories... around next week? or if my schedule permits on Wednesday, maybe. :)
