It was the middle of the night all eyes were closed, under the influence of sleep.  Everyone but him and I, I knew, just knew he'd be awake.  I rang the doorbell, the loud buzz notifying him a person was at the door.  He opened the door abruptly bags under his tired weary eyes, his eyes were filled with surprise, but warm and filled with energy.  He opened his mouth to greet me or question me why I was out so late at night.  I spoke before he could. 

"Hide me.  I don't want anyone to find me.  Let's run away just me and you.  Let's run away from this terrible terrible place and never look back.", I looked at him pleadingly, my voice thin and desperate.  I took a few steps towards him, closing in the space inbetween us, throwing my arms around him.
