Pancakes - Matsumoto Jun one-shot

Description

Matsumoto Jun x OC (Morita Emiko)

Foreword

"Listen Emi, I really can't do this" whined Jun rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"Please JunJun, it's pancake day!" begged Emiko, giving her lover her cutest puppy-dog eyes.

It was Panday *, another holiday that Jun didn't quite find the point in, but seeing as he hadn't bought Emiko an actual Valentines day present (apparently going to the cinema, popcorn and a rose didn't count), he has been forced to promise to make pancakes on the following day.

So at 11pm, having spent the start of the night working their way through a variety of sake that Ohno had brought back from Kyoto, they found themselves in the Matsumoto's kitchen which lay in disarray, with the worktops and parts of the walls covered in pancake butter.

"Jun, you could take a leaf out of Emiko's book, perhaps be a little more positive" suggested Kumiko** as she flitted in and out the room.

"Yeah Jun" said Emiko with a slight smirk on her lips, "Enter into the spirit…" she said, a glint in her deep, brown eyes.

"Oh, the spirit?" asked Jun in a daring tone. Raising his flour-covered hands Jun stepped closer to Emiko.

"No, you wouldn't even …No!" She yelped as Jun caked his girlfriend's face in the white powder.

"BAKAYARO!" she shrieked as Jun backed-off laughing.

"Well you wanted to make pancakes!" He sang while Emiko brushed the flour off her face.

"You are sooo dead" Emiko growled playfully. She leant over a pile of already used bowls and scooped up a handful of pancake butter.

"Emi-chan .." warned Jun imitating Emiko's earlier moves. With a sparkle in her eye and a powerful grin on her lips Emiko launched at Jun … however it didn't hit who Emiko had been aiming for…

Wiping the eggy-mess from her face, Kumiko looked between the couple. One of which was bent over double from laughter and the other had turned as red as a tomato.

"Oh my God, I'm so, so sorry … I didn't...well I mean that… Jun …" Stuttered Emiko.

"Thanks mom, for taking the bullet for me" Jun managed to say between bouts of laughter.

"Not to worry Emiko honey" Kumiko said gently pushing away Emiko's hands as she tried to clear away the mess with some kitchen roll.

"I was running myself a bath anyway, just thought I should give you a hand tidying away when you're done" She said .

"You should be grateful that your mom's so nice Jun-chan, mine would've a brick if anything was ever untidy" said Emiko, brushing flour away from her lover's lips.

"Emiko! How can you say that? Shizuka's*** one of the friendliest and most welcoming people I've ever had the fortune of meeting!" Jun drawled, sarcasm dripping from his mouth.

"Shizuka shizuka ni****" Emiko whispered quickly kissing her boyfriend with a smile.

"Come on, let's try again", It was the fourth time Emiko has tried to teach Jun how to toss a pancake. Each time their dessert had either ended up on the floor or stuck on the ceiling.

"Emi-chan, I really can't do this" moaned Jun again, "cooking's just not my thing".

"Here" She said moving behind him and sliding her hands over Jun's, "How's this?" She asked in a low voice. It astounded Jun how Emiko's touch still made his skin tingle.

"Emi …" warned Jun, glancing at his oblivious mom who was in her own little world the other side of the kitchen, singing along to Kinki Kids on the radio.

"Come on, I'll show you how it's done" Emiko said in a husky voice, and poured the butter into the pan before sliding her hand down Jun's sides where they settled on her hips. "Now just concentrate".

"I'm trying to Emi" Jun said feeling flushed, "but you're not exactly making it easy for me". Emiko smirked then stepped back.

"You manage to do this and maybe I'll show you a few more of my …skills later on" said Emiko, her bottom lip quickly, in a way she knew would drive Jun crazy.

He swallowed hard then turned back to the pan. Lifting it high she tossed the pancake which then landed perfectly straight.

"Are? I did it!" Jun exclaimed in delight.

"Knew you could do it honey" Emiko said moving in to claim Jun's lips.

"My son! He can cook!" Kumiko squealed, causing the couple to jump. "Sit down, sit down, Emiko I've kept our pancakes warm in the microwave".

They sat down, Jun pouring them both some juice, the two of them could not take their eyes off each other.

"Right now, Emiko what topping would you like? Lemon, sugar, syrup, chocolate, banana?" asked Kumiko, looking through the cupboards.

"Jun knows what I want" said Emiko in her uniquely husky voice.

"Sorry what was that dear?" asked Kumiko over the sound of her son choking on her orange juice.

"Just lemon please" said Emiko smirking into her drink.

"Emi " said Jun suddenly, "didn't you say you had to ring your sister to say you'd be staying the night?" her eyes darkening as they met Emiko's once more.

"Oh… Yeah I completely forgot, my phone's upstairs. I haven't spoken to her in a while, might be an hour..."

"..Or two" Jun finished, "I'll come with you" He said grabbing Emiko's arm and leading her out the room.

When in the hallway Emiko pulled her boyfriend back and pushed him up against the wall out of Kumiko's sight. Crashing his lips against Emiko's, Jun could feel his girlfriend playing with the hem of his shirt.

"You know Emiko, you can use the house phone if you want?" Kumiko called from the kitchen.

Emiko broke the kiss and cleared before replying "No, it's alright thanks Kumiko-san" and pulling on Jun's arm and up the stairs.

"Don't be too long children, your pancakes will get cold" Kumiko half-heartedly called.

As the bedroom door closed behind them and Emiko stood before him already half-, Jun couldn't help but think how much he loved Panday.
