Ch. 1-The New Fresh Start

His mouth moved, but I promise. 
There wasn't any sound. His brows raises, eyes fixed into mines, and in his eyes were pleads. His hands were cuffing my arms, they were strong.
Soon behind him, the surrounding faded and scatters. 

Exactly how the marbles poured and quickly fled from one another.

~"Mayu-chan." He said in exhaust.
Dai squat next to me and pick at every of the marbles. 
I got on both knees and started assembling the marbles. 
"I just got done cleaning your mess just now." He sighed.
"Gomenesai. My hands slipped." 
We both pour the marbles down our palms into the small bucket. 
"It's okay, let's go play outside, shall we? Your mom and Hiro should be coming back from the hospital now." He took my hand and we both rushes outside. The outdoor spirit were calling us. 
We soon felt the tingly sensation of the summer breeze stripping down our necks to the bottom of our spines. 
"Nee! Dai push me on the swing!" 
My youthful self rushes towards one of the open swing. 
"No. You push me, I pushed you last time." He said against me. His early teen self sat himself on the next open swing. 
"But you're so heavy!" I declared. "Push me!" Sputter of pouts came out.
"Hai hai." Dai jump up. "Aaya. You're really dependent. That's annoying." 
I won the war. "Nani?" I turn behind me, looking at him. 
A crafty grin carves at his mouth.
"Nani monai." 
He pulls me into the air and finally, 
"Arioka, what are you doing here?" 
Dai stops.
We both shift our heads into the direction of the feminine voice.
"Ah," he smiles, "Babysitting Mayu.
        Why are you here? Airi. ~

"Let go of me!" I pull myself from his grasp. 
My breath were long. 
"Mayu?"
His voice, it irritates my head so much. 
It was confusing. 
"Don't say my name," I shot a fierce glare.
"You asked Airi to marry you, didn't you? 
When we were younger you always had your eyes printed on her. 
I remembers."
"It's not like that!" His steps approaches. 
"Stay away!" 

~"Domo, Mayu." Her smiles hovers in front of me.
I stare at her in the state of blank. 
I never liked her.            Probably because...
"Where did her mom go?" 
She asked, the hair of hers flying behind her ears. And there hatch a smile. 
Dai furtive his glance away. Something he does when he's nervous. 
"Hiro accidentally injured his leg from running, so they're at the doctor. "
Airi nodded. "Eh? Souka." 
I look up at Dai ,his eyes gazes at her.
The effect of a crush, nee? 
I thought. 
"Ane, your skirt is very pretty." 
Airi giggles, "Hontonii?" She swings her beige floral skirt.  

I notices, she always wear floral pattern.  

"Arigatou." She smiles. 

I nods in respond. Thinking how stupid she must be to enable to fall for a lie.
"I don't want to ride the swing anymore." I uttered in annoyance.
"Eh? Nande?"
"I change my mind." 
I sprint off to the sandbox.
Behind me, I hear the laughter of them in valor. 
Dai must've pulled one of his joke.   
                                 He likes her.

"Mayu-chan! Come down, dinner's ready!" Okasa shouted from downstairs. 
I sulk myself deeper into my pillow. 
"Why is it that she always call when I'm having a bad day." Murmurous to myself. 
"Mayu." Hiro called, knocking at my door. 
The debate of fetching the door for Onii is it worth or not. 
"Go away! Leave me alone.... I'm tired." My voice subsiding. 
"Stop being a depress Baka, get out here. " 
"I don't want to!" I declared. 
After an obtain of minutes, silence override. 
He didn't argue back. 
My eyes shift around the room, I soon approaches something. 
Hiro had slid a folded note under my door. I snatch it and unfold it to recover what words. 
            I'm waiting for you in front of XXX Cafe. Hurry.

"Senpei?"

My breath huffing. I never ran this continuously. 
I'm so exhausted. Yet. Something inside imbued  my legs. 
It wasn't soon until Yamada's appearance became a catch in the eye.
He leaned against the wall, unaware, I was already here. 
I pull my phone out of my bag. If I call him and lied to him I couldn't make it, would he be resent?
The thought of teasing him made me smile. For I hadn't had one since this morning. 
"Yamada-San!" I called.
His head quickly turn to the hear of my voice. 
He lighten. The smile on his face. 
"I didn't think you make it." He said, tiring. 
The subject of his voice troubles me. 
"Are you okay?" 
My hand stretches out, I gently cup his cheek onto my palm. 
It was ice. 
"I'm sorry. Did you wait long?" I asked, sputtering in worry.
It was my fault. If I hadn't been so stubborn and selfish. I knew Yamada wasn't strong internally either.
But his hand it was warm. He hovers his hand over mine, squeezing it in such fragile manner.
"Mm." He weakly smile.
My heart crumbles. 
While I was brooding about Dai, he waited. 
Had I been blinded? There was a worthy person there for me. Yet through nail and blood, I took him for my own advantage..? 
"I promise. I will love you." I said. A resembling of a whisper. 
Yet bitter. 
"Ryosuke."
