My heart beat faster as he cupped his hands around my face. I felt my legs shake and I tryed everything I could to keep standing. The rain fell from the sky as though the heavens were begging for this to happen. Is this a dream? It’s all surreal.

               “Let me be your wings,” he whispers, his words flowing off of his lips. He leans in closer and pressed his lips firmly against mine. I gasped but welcome the warmth. He wrapped an arm around my waist, holding me against him. His other hand held my face strong yet gentle. My arms automatically wrapped around his neck and I pulled him closer. He pulls back and captured my eyes.

                I can’t believe this is happening. A few months ago, I was just another girl in his class. My heart pounded in my chest as I tried to find the words that escaped me. His eyes seemed to be fueled by fire, the same fire that was flowing throughout my body. I’d never felt like this before and I didn’t want it to end.

               “I-I…yes,” was all I could say before he pulled me close, hugging me tightly. His body felt mixed with mine. I could no longer feel the rain falling upon us or the chill in the air. All I could feel was the slow, even raising of his chest as he breathed and his heart pounding from nervousness and excitement.
