The gleam of the bright sun hurted people’s eyes as they took a glance at them.But not Im Yoona,not her,she blinked her cloud grey eyes and nothing happened.She heaved a sigh and gaze away,fidgeting uncomfortablely in her bed.It was easy for her to know which direction the sun’s was.The sun was hitting her skin by how the nurse blatantly opened the window out and wide,and putting certain ammount of pills in her hands.She never knew why would they gave her those pills despite her well-condition.She was no longer under the weather and she knew it too well for her own good.And she was aware,that they are keeping her here for unknown reasons

 

“Miss.Im Yoona,we are sorry to say this but you are diagnosed for permanent blindness and none of your family mebers survived through the car accident”

The news resulted the Im Yoona to trashed in her bed and need more than two people to hold her back down and injected her the same liquid that put her into a deep slumber.Yoona didn’t have anyone,Yoona lives alone,Yoona lost everyone,and now she lost her senses

 

 

Yoona woke up in a cold room with nothing but white room trapping her.Right beside her bed is another white bed which looked hastily made but for Im Yoona,it was all obscured

 

 

As her impaired vision is no longer functional,it is an advantage for her other 4 senses to become sharper.A breath of air brushed against her lips and a mint sensation left her nose airy

 

And at that day she met him,Xi Luhan

 

Her roommate

 

 

On the middle of the night,she heard a screech from her own room.She spun her head to every directions trying to search where is the source of the sound.She was dreaded from the high resonance that pause,and then goes again.She slid away from her covers and step unto the ground carefully walking with her stick as her

And she fell when her foot almost touched a pointed shard of glass.The bathroom door flew open and scent of blood lingered on the room,waking Yoona’s sense of smelling.It’s not hers,she wore sandals

 

“What are you doing?”

 

 

It’s him,asking her in the gentlest tone and he reached her hand to help her stand up – his hand

 

Yoona went on her feet ,and laced her bony fingers around his wrist and supposed Luhan  grimaced under her touch.Red liquid her fair complexion and she brought his wrist to her nose,using her sense of smelling to confirm her assumptions.Correct.And she let go of Luhan’s wrist,hanging beside his body

 

“Don’t hurt yourself,Luhan”

 

She cared for him,but it’s his decision.She was tired of  aiding broken people and ended up in pieces

 

Being blind helps nothing but is a disavantage for her as people underestimate her for being flawed

 

 

Yet,Yoona believed,there is someone who is in the same state as her with different case

Luhan adored every little things about Yoona.She was absolutely stunning,despite her impaired vision which was making her look mysterious and sophisticated,he still adored him.He adored the way she would smile at the littlest thing he spoke up to her and how she never really cared about the things in the world.The cruel things in the world.

 

 

Luhan learned that Yoona is beautiful on the first day he set his eyes on her figure who laid in her bed,under covered,like a lifeless doll,painted with no colours except her hair

Luhan learned that Yoona is blind on the first time she woke up with no consciousness that he hovered over her body to take a closer look of the young eve

 

Luhan learned that Yoona is alone that she was kept on the ward for pity of the death of her whole family members on the moment he listened to her sleep-talking

 

Luhan learned to no longer cdraw shard glass across his wrist in the middle of the night to not disturb Yoona’s sleep time

 

Luhan learned to accept and love Yoona for who she is

 

As she is the epitome of perfection in the eye of Xi Luhan

 

 

“Roses are red

 Violets are blue

 Spongebob is stupid

 As stupid as Patrick”

 

 

And Yoona fell on her stomach,laughing out loud open wide like a gaping alligator.Yoona squeezed her eyes shut like any laughing person would do,with fresh tears b on her eyes as if his joke is too funny that she can’t contain it on her stomach

 

Luhan chuckled and helped Yoona back on her seat “That was funny really”

 

 

Luhan made a self mental note to make the most ironic joke for Yoona

“Luhan,why are you in this hospital ward?”

 

Luhan deliberated with himself for a moment.No,he wouldn’t lie.A single lie would tainted their friendship.She was his friend,only one.And he didn’t wanna lose anybody anymore

 

“A depression”

 

Silence engulfed them for a moment,and Yoona dawned a smile “Are you?

 

“No,not anymore”because of you

 

“Why are you here then?”you’re fixed

 

“You’ll be alone”

 

Luhan embraced Yoona,with warmth and her worries all swept as she locked in his arms and Yoona realized,she was never alone,and there was someone who earnestly care for her for who she is

 

 

Though she knew all too well,that she was clinging into that unproved fact to survive
