Poem 39: Absurd
Stay sad to make me happy.
Show me yourself to make me smile.
Hold my hand so I'll feel safe.
Look in my eyes and take my breath away.
Hug me forever and I'll be willing.
Tell me you love me and I'm ready to die.
Whisper sweet nothings in my ear all night.
Show me real love exists.
Kiss me 'til my doubts are all gone.
Watch me sleep even if it goes on forever.
Take me in your arms and I'll never wake up.
Just stay with me.
Write me love letters everyday.
Look for me every second of the day.
Miss me when I'm not around.
Just tell me you need me.
Make me your only passion,
I'll be your inspiration.
Sing songs and make poems for me.
Tell me I'm everything you've ever wanted.
What makes this so absurd and unreal?
It's not because I'm demanding these things.
I just know someone's willing to do all these for you.
What's absurd about that? I'm someone.
