Poem 25: A Sad Fairy Tale.
Once upon a time there was a princess in a far away land.
She was beautiful and every prince wants to win her hand.
She had beauty, riches, and everything a girl could ever want.
But she was still sad because she knew these things were just for fun.
Everyone may think that the princess is happy but she's not.
Because the thing she really wants, she knew she couldn't have.
She would give up her riches and everything else,
Just so she could have the heart of the one she loved best.
She fell in love deeply with someone she had been looking out for so long.
He's not a prince but he's someone whom her heart belongs.
But the princess knew she could never have him.
For he had fallen in love with someone else, it seems.
She knows he's the only one who can have her heart.
She knows she can never have him as long as they're apart.
So she swore to forever close her heart to anyone else,
Even to those people who knew her so well.
The princess wouldn't let go.
She knew he's the reason why she's alone.
But soon she knew she had to stop because she saw him with her.
And sadly, she knew this was the beginning of their happy ever after.
