The year I lost you was the year I felt the foundation of my live concave and shatter beneath me. I hadn’t expected anything of the sort to happen so the initial shock left enough of a mark to imbalance me. Not being able to wake up to your face and not being able to hear you laugh… Those were the things that slowly crumbled the walls of the home we’d built together.
