Chapter 3
Set To Kill You
Shin felt his insides doing flip flops. A rush of panic going through him
'HAEMI?'
He ran out the door and turned his head left and right
'HAEMI, WHERE ARE YOU?'
A loud clanking noise was heard so Shin ran into that direction.
'HAEMI?'
'YEAA?'
'WHERE ARE YOU?'
'CAFETERIA!'
He quickly ran as fast as he could to the cafeteria and smashed opened the doors. Haemi was sitting on one of the benches peacefully eating a salad sandwich while sipping onto her carton of banana milk
'whoa, don't be so ruff, the doors have feelings too you know'
Shin ignored her, and marched right up to her face. He was so close that if Haemi moved her head forward a tad bit, it would clash with his stomach.
'what are you doing here?' he asked angrily
'e-eating......? because i'm hungry.....'
Shin looked at Haemi's frightened face and sighed
'sorry..' he mumbled
'i didn't mean to scare you...i just thought something bad had happened to you'
Haemi smiled warmly
'awww, i didn't know that Wonnie was so caring'
'w-wonnie...?'
'your nickname~ cute isn't it?'
'your nickname~ cute isn't it?'
Shin literally facepalmed himself and it hurt..a lot.
'well, i'm done eating, i should go home now'
Haemi stood up and grabbed her bag
'see you tomorrow wonnie~'
She giggled and skipped off home. Shin stood there frozen on the spot. He wanted to take Haemi home to make sure that she would arrive safely but wouldn't it be weird since he has only met her for a few hours? Shin decided to take the chance and ran after Haemi. His heart had accelerated and he didn't know why. Was THE SHIN WONHO nervous? his mind told him to forget about it and to just keep going but his heart...it didn't tell him anything and just kept beating at an abnormal rate.
'Haemi!' called out Shin
Haemi turned her head and her eyes widened
'aren't you going home wonnie? or do you walk the same route to go home too?'
'uh yeaaa...i go home this way too'
'oh, then lets walk together!'
The both of them talked about lots of random things..well, it was just mainly Haemi talking. Shin just stood there and listened to whatever she was saying, looking real interested. Problem was, theres nothing really interesting about ninjas
'i think i would make an awesome ninja, but i think i should do taekwondo or something..what do you think?'
Haemi turned to look at Shin but he was too busy staring ahead
'wonnie?'
'oh uh yea?'
'do you think i should do taekwondo or something?'
'yea, you would be able to fight against bullies and stuff! good idea'
'...i just want to do taekwondo so i could become an awesome ninja...'
'but if you do become a ninja...you'd have to kill people you know...do you want to do that?'
'oh..i didn't think of that...how do you know?'
Before Shin could answer, they arrived at Haemi's house and they weren't the only ones there. There was someone sitting at Haemi's doorstep waiting for her. Shin took a closer look since it was dark
'i've seen him before..'
