One Last Dance

Description

I love you.

The painful confession lingered at the edge of his lips, cutting my heart.

If only he had said those three words to me again.

I wouldn't be heartbroken.

If only he had noticed my feelings for him.

I wouldn't be in so much pain.

If only he had kept his promises.

I wouldn't be hurt.

What hurts more than losing you is knowing that,

you're not fighting to keep me.

Foreword

Sometimes I wish I could hurt you the way

you hurt me,

But I know, if I had the chance to,

I wouldn't.

A/N: 'One Last Dance' is an entry for Behind that Smile - Writing Contest. Featuring SNSD's Yoona and Infinite's MyungSoo, this is based off a true story (which I read on a blog and was inspired). I'm not sure if this will bring a tear to you, but I hope it'll at least bring a smile on your face. To all those who are depressed due to an unrequited love, one-sided love and heartbreaks, it's about time for you to move on. Credits to Lynnryan @ VisualScrumpt for the amazing poster! Please enjoy the story and hope you like it! Comments are highly appreciated. MyungYoon ♥

Chapter 1: This piece has a heart-wrenching effect in portraying the pain that Yoona had suffered because of Myungsoo. When he was a child at the time he said that to Yoona, it sounded like he didn't understand the true meaning behind that when it's said casually. So, he wasn't being serious about it then. Maybe he meant to say that she's pretty and cute. That's disrespectful of him to be two-timing her and not seeming to care about her. He was probably off spending some sweet time with Krystal to be leaving Yoona by herself for that long. It turns out that he doesn't have strong feelings for her when he set her aside for Krystal. If he could've been clear about his feelings, Yoona wouldn't have been led-on to believe that she has a chance with him. Because of distrust and his betrayal, their friendship fell apart and can't be mended. Thus, he's undeserving of her love when he doesn't truly value her. At least there's hope and there'd be someone else for her who'd wholeheartedly treasure and love her. That's something to keep in mind when a heartbroken takes the the time to heal and move forward.

The depressing lamentation is reflective of the somber tone that's intended for this one-shot. It's relatable on a deep level for those who have/had experienced such heartbreak of reciprocated love. The winter background in the story poster seems fitting for this gloomy vibe as representative of an end to something.

Chapter 1: This is really a pretty story. I have never read of Soshifinite nor Myungyoon but I really really like this. I like the way you point out Yoona's feelings well. Keep up the good work ^^.
