Once upon a time, there lived a 5 boys.

Each boy was special in their own way.

“In the WORLD STATE, everyone is special.

Everyone is the same.

No differences, no individuals, no problem.”

Together, the five of them made a popular South Korean boyband.

They were called SHINee.

“In the WORLD STATE, no one is ever given an actual name.

We all belong to another, and are all the same.”

One boy was named Jonghyun,

He was the main-vocalist because of his powerful and distinct vocals…

“It is a sad thing our newest patient had somehow became mute during one of check-ups.”

Another boy was named Key,

He was the group’s little diva, ensuring he always looked the best…

“For such a young man to become blind at such a young age--for unknown reasons--is sad.

Also, in the WORLD STATE one is not more popular, better, or prettier than someone else.

We are all equal, and all the same.”

Another boy was named Minho.

He was the group’s rapper. He was the tallest, and sometimes called the most handsomest of the five.

“Such a shame the poor lad ended up with a strange scar on his face while he was asleep.

But on the plus side, the deformity ensures his looks are not superior the looks those of others.”

The final boy was the youngest, his name was Taemin.

He was the main dancer.

“The boy was no more than a child. Why he couldn’t walk upon his arrival at our hospital, we don‘t know.”

They all lived a fun life.

They all lived a great life.

Then the boys woke up that day,
Then the boys learned something that day.

“Idols don't exist. You're all in the Sment Psychiatric Hospital, boys.

You've been here for the past eleven years.”

They realized..

...The reality they left was fake, and today, they were woken up from it.

“We welcome you back to the WORLD STATE.

Here things are much, much, much different than how you claim you've lived. Here, is a social activity, rather than a means of reproduction, and all ual activity is encouraged from early childhood.

Here, we all belong to one another.

"Boys, please desist from claiming foolish believes that you were idols. Idols are no longer existent in our society. Nor will they ever be.

If you continue to repeat such claims, things will not end happily for you boys.
