"I can't handle seeing you like this. You were so happy, so in love with the world." 

Yuji sits alone in his bedroom, gazing out the window into the rainy, moonlit night. He isn't talking to anyone, besides the picture that he holds in his hand. It's his best friend, Takeru. He talks to the picture instead of the person, because Takeru himself has been silent for weeks. Takeru rarely comes home to the apartment they share with Masato. He has emotional meltdowns. Yuji had to witness one of his outburts when he made the mistake of asking him where he had been. When Takeru does talk, he seems angry with everyone. It's been this way since his mother died, no less than 3 weeks ago. A tear rolls down Yuji's cheek as he thinks about Takeru's depression. All he wants is to be there for him, and to assure him that everything will be ok.
