Yoo Youngjae and Bang Soyoung had been high school sweethearts since day one. The couple that everyone thought would live happily ever after. The couple that every boy and girl from their school secretly envied. They were perfect for each other. And the fact that they were accepted and committed to the same university after graduation just seemed to seal the deal. But halfway into their freshman year of college, the couple's fairytale was cut short. 

Youngjae suffered a severe head trauma during a major unexpected earthquake of 7.2 and passed on. 

Youngjae and Soyoung had been relaxing at a local cafe when the quake hit their town. The table they had been sharing was only big enough to fit one person underneath. Youngjae pushed Soyoung under, out of harm's way, leaving himself vulnerable. The total loss count of that horrible day was over 67 people in their region.

Soyoung blamed herself for Youngjae's death since that day. And her entire being just seemed to fall apart. Her perfect grades fell, her bright personality grew dull, and she was all in all a mess. Soyoung called it 'Youngjae's curse'. Soyoung's family and friends tried therapy, they tried to introduce her to new guys, they even tried to get someone to impersonate Youngjae in their desperation. That turned out to be a backfiring plan. 

In a final effort to save her from the gripping depression, Soyoung's eldest brother sends her to chase after Youngjae's biggest dream. To become a world reknown singer. 

During her journey, she meets a curious boy by the name of Jung Daehyun. He had the most beautiful singing voice she had ever heard, next to Youngjae's, but he was functionally deaf in both ears. He couldn't hear, but he could talk, sing, and even understand what you're saying by reading your lips and body language. 

So when Soyoung asked him how he was able to do all of that, she found out he had lost his hearing after an accident during that earthquake last year.

Hi everyone! This is my first story here on AFF, but not my first fanfic haha. Infinity's End was actually the very first story plot I started writing as a fanfic writer back in like...2008. I have brought it back! A new and improved Infinity's End. I hope you all enjoy my AFF debut c: Pleeeeease don't hate me for killing Youngjae ;_; It made me really sad too.
