Since he was little, Young Deuk had always wanted to dance. To dance until his muscles are sore, until his body aches, his head spins, until he can no longer move. He loves dancing as much as he loves his twin brother, Young Don, who incidentally loves to dance as well. He and Young Don used to perform every chance they get, family get-togethers, friends’ parties, school stages. And they would perform for anybody, like for the ahjumma they buy fish cakes from, or for the guy who delivers their groceries and even for the homeless old man in front of their house.

It was no surprise at all that Young Deuk and Young Don would take on dancing and performing as their career. They auditioned for several entertainment agencies. Aside from the fact that they’re both great dancers, it also didn’t hurt that they both got the looks. They even passed the preliminaries in their JYP audition but got cut off at the last second. That didn’t deter them though. They continued their studies and they would serve as dancers for amateur acts performing in malls. That led them to knowing a lot of dancers and one of them was Park Jung Heon. At that time, Jung Heon has just been accepted in a dance team working exclusively for YG Entertainment. He introduced the twins to Lee Jae Wook, YG choreographer and one of the first members of the dance team. Their immense passion and incredible dancing made them the new members of Hi-Tech.

For Young Deuk, it was one of the highlights of his dancing career and he couldn’t be happier. He was working for one of the top entertainment agencies in the whole of Korea and he is working with an amazing group of people who share the same passion as him. Dancing. But now, it just proves to be a problem for him.

Young Deuk hates being just a back-up dancer.
