Chapter 3
Mr. Perfect and Me
Hello! Kris-Su here.
Thank you for the comments and subscriptions.
This fanfic here is actually a rewrite of a fanfic I wrote
like seven years ago....sheesh!
Looking back at it now, I had horrible grammar...
And I use mostly all dialogue. Lol.
Anyhow, I'm not really changing it too much...
Mostly just editing out the silly things
(I used to use words like bugger and bloody a lot in fanfics...don't know why....)
Oh, and of course, i've changed the main characters.
It used to be an Edison Gillian fic. But after the whole incident....
not so much a fan of that pairing anymore.
Anyhow, I'm not sure if I'll keep the original storyline
or diverge from it a little bit.
But please excuse my sometimes horrible writing...
I was still a little girl back then :>
But I must have been more imaginative, since I had such an easy time writing
as opposed to now, where I have to crank ideas out of my head....
Anyways, have fun reading, enjoy!
And if you'd like to read a recent fiction I've been working on
(one that wasn't written seven years ago)
It's called "Seducing Mr. ." Check it out!
Thanks :>

Wait. What? Rewind. REWIND.
“What?” I asked.
L burst into laughter. “Got ya!”
“Huh?”
“April fools,” he said.
“…It’s November.”
“I know,” he said, studying my face. “I just
wanted to try it out. Couldn’t wait to
see the expression
on your face. You should have seen yourself when I said
that. You looked so…”
“So?”
“I don’t know. I mean,” he added playfully, “if
I really did love you, you’d
probably have slapped me by
now.”
I would? “Why’d I do that?”
“Because it’s just silly.”
“That what, you might be in love with me?” I said, defensively. After all, was it
so hard to imagine someone being in love with me, and not Euni, for once?
“Woah. I was just playing, Taeyeon. No need to get
all defensive.”
And for a second, I’d thought that my wish had
finally come true. “Whatever.
Look, I’m not feeling so
good right now. I’m going to sleep.”
“Sure,” he said, and pulled the blankets over me. “Sweet dreams.”
Yeah, right. Like I’m ever going to have sweet
dreams again after what you said
to me. He went back to finishing his chicken , and
I couldn’t help but
watch him from under the covers. He
was just so…different. He reminded me of
everything I wanted to be.
He was popular, rich, had nice parents, and could do
whatever the hell he wanted.
All my life, I’d been next to some guy who
didn’t live the same life as I did. He
was different—he
lived another life, and I had just wanted to be part of it. Much
like how I’d wanted to be a part of Euni’s life, and not just her shadow.
Before my eyelids closed heavily on me, I thought
I saw L leaning over and
whispering something into my
ear.
And I have no idea what he said.
* * *
“The guy broke your arm, nearly killed you, and
then made out with you?” This
was Tia. She was my second best friend, after L. She was more of a sister to me
than Euni ever was.
I nodded. “Yeah. Basically.”
“You’re kidding, right?”
“No, why would I be kidding?”
“Because it makes absolutely no sense.”
“I know, right!???!”
“Alright. Do you know who this guy is?”
“Of course I do. I know his name, and I can
probably recognize his face.” When I
said probably, I was lying. I would recognize his face anywhere.
“OK. You know what I think you should do?”
“No?”
“Report it to the police.” She gave me her come-
on-Taeyeon look. “He could
cause some serious problems
later on. I mean, this guy had a gun. Right?”
“Yeah.”
“Guns usually mean trouble, especially in Seoul. Aren’t these things illegal, by
the way?”
“How should I know?” I took out a magazine and
pretended to read.
“Gosh. You’re acting so naïve,” Tia whined.
Naïve, I am. Still, better than L. I took the
point of not mentioning the whole
April fools deal to
Tia.
There were a lot of things I didn’t tell Tia. There were some things I
just
couldn’t tell her about. Like how I was in love with
L. I couldn’t tell anybody
that. Not even Euni. In fact, Euni would be the last person on earth I’d ever tell.
“Oh, my God,” Tia said, nudging me on the arm.
“What now?”
“Look.” She pointed to the front of the class.
“Oh, my God.” This time it was me.
“I know,” she said, sighing.
No, you don’t, was all I could think while the
teacher introduced a new student
into our classroom.
“Exo Kris,” the student said. “Nice to
meet you.”
And then he stared straight at me.
He must have been shocked as well, because there
was a slight breakdown in
his posture, and for a split
second, he looked un-graceful. But still, I couldn’t
deny that he was gorgeous. It didn’t seem that I was the only person with
this
opinion, either, because I could see the other girls, along
with Tia, gazing at
him.
But back the the point. This could not be happening to me. Why was he here?
Unless…came
here to kill me. To KILL ME. He probably realized that if
he’d let
me go, I’d report to the police or something.
Oh, God. I still wanted to live. I
was only eighteen—
“Hi,” Kris said, as he walked by my desk.
“Hi.”
“Your arm okay?”
“Yeah,” I said, nervously looking around for signs of a gun. “Turned out to be a
sprain.”
“Right. See you later, then.” He gave me a tap on
the shoulders.
This was clearly a warning tap. In killer
language, he was saying ‘see you later in
the corner when
I have a gun pointed at your heart.’
Tia turned to me and whispered, “you know that
guy?”
Yes. And I would very much like to un-know
him. “Um, yeah.”
“You lucky .”
Uh, you wouldn’t be saying that if you were in my
shoes. “What?”
“First you get L. And now, him. I mean, he’s
gorgeous.”
I get L what? “L’s not my boyfriend.”
“Of course he’s not,” she said matter-of-factly, as if it was obvious that
someone like L would never have anything to do with me, romantically. “Still,
though, technically, he’s no less than your boyfriend.
You’re around him 24/7.
And now you’ve got Mr. Perfect.”
“Who the hell is Mr. Perfect?”
“Hello,” Tia said, “you’re not getting the
point here. That,” she said, pointing to
Kris, “is Mr.
Perfect.”
Right. Except he’s the lunatic who tried to kill
me back in the hospital ward and
who, by the way, you said
I should report to the police about.
“I just know him. We’re not close or anything.”
Tia sighed. “At least he knows you exist.”
And he’ll definitely know when I don’t, because
he’ll be the first to know about
my death.
The bell ended, and
everybody passed in the activity sheets, which I had not
been doing, thanks to Tia. Somehow, she’d managed to
finish hers. I hurried
out the classroom, careful not to
bump into anyone and hurt myself. After all, I
was going
to die soon. Kris would definitely kill me unless—
—Unless I did something about it.
Grinning, I whirled my head and looked for the
distinctly familiar face.
“Kris, wait!”
I had a plan.
