The Letter

Star (Completed)
He sorted out the mails he have received that day. Maybe it has already reached around 500 mails, but he doesn't care. Well, reading fan mails was fun at first, but then he grew tired of all the people writing to him, telling him how they idolize him and how great he is, especially in his new drama series. He put all the fan mails inside a box, and then handed it to his personal assistant. "You know what to do." he said. His assistant just smiled at him as he took the box from his boss.

As he was about to leave, a small, violet envelope fell out of nowhere. He took it, and read what's written on the envelope. "To Mr. Zhou Yi Quan" he read. "Another fan mail, I guess..." he thought. He was about to go back to his assistant, but then, there's something about that letter that made him want to read it. He looked at the envelope again, and saw that his address was on it, but there was no address for the sender. He came to a conclusion that this person doesn't wish for his reply, unlike the other mails he have received. He put it on his pocket, and decided to read the letter after his concert rehearsals.

"What's new?" Kelsi asked her brother the moment she arrived home from school. She found her brother watching news that moment. "Oh nothing... just a bunch of politicians and their scandals..." Jeff, her elder brother, replied. Kelsi just smiled, and decided to go up to her room and change. Just as she was about to go up, she heard the TV reporter tell a news about the Taiwanese boy band, HyperActive. "HyperActive will be coming to Manila next month for their world tour." she heard the reporter say. She paused for a while, as she listen to what the reporter has to say. "HyperActive has been so popular nowadays due to their series, 'Falling in love with a Prince', spearheaded by Jason Zhou Yi Quan. Tickets for the concert are now sold out..."

"Kelsi! You want to watch this concert?" her brother asked. Kelsi just smiled at her brother. "Well, if I had the chance, I would.. but the news said the tickets are sold out already." She said. Jeff stood up from the couch and approached her. He reached for his pocket, and showed his sister the tickets to the concert. He knew how much his sister love these Taiwanese guys since the day she saw them on TV, and since he have been a good sister, he decided to treat her to this concert. "Oh my God!" she shrieked. "You can't be serious..." Kelsi said in awe. "Well, I know you really love that band so I bought the tickets once the news about their concert was confirmed..." Jeff explained. Kelsi smiled, and gave her brother a hug. "You're the best brother in the whole wide world, Jeffy!" she said as she hugged him tight. It was so tight, that Jeff could not even breath and let go from his sister. "Uhh... sis, I appreciate your gratefulness, but I can't breath you know..."

He sat on the stage as he watched everybody leave. He said goodbye to the musicians, and his fellow bandmates as they left the auditorium. "Not leaving yet?" Jin Xiu Yi, asked him. Yi Quan just smiled at him, and shook his head. "You know how much I love staying at the auditorium after our practice, Xiu Yi." Yi Quan said. "So, does that mean so don't have a date tonight?" he asked. "No date tonight." Xiu Yi just tapped his shoulder, and said goodbye to his friend.

As soon as he's alone, he reached for his pocket, and took out the small envelope. He carefully opened it, and took out a piece of paper inside it. He could smell the sweet fragrance of the stationery as he unfolds the paper. The cursive penmanship compliments the paper. He began to read the letter, and as he did, a smile forms from his lips.

Dear Yi Quan,

You may not know who I am, but I know you. I have seen you everyday on the screen. Who wouldn't anyway? You are a superstar that everyone adores and loves so much, and I am just one of those people who looks up to you, and wishes that you would give me even a single glance. The first time I saw you, I know I have fallen for you... I guess you have heard this line from all of your girl admirers, but I really felt that way. I don't know why... I know I shouldn't but my heart has a mind of its own. There's something in your eyes, and in your smile that made me feel this way... and I can feel that there is something more beneath your boyish face.

I know you don't have enough time to read all your fan mails. If you would be able to read this, then I would be very happy. Just the thought of you, smiling at my letter, is a great accomplishment for me. I hope I had made your busy day a little happy with this letter. I hope one day, our paths would cross. When that day comes, I hope you could give me a sweet smile, and I hope when that day comes, I would have the courage to approach you, and to be near you even for just a second...

Angel
After he finished reading the letter, Yi Quan folded it and put it back on his pocket. The letter is simple, but it made him feel special. He lied on the floor, and stared at the faint light above his head. "Who could be this 'Angel'?" he thought. He closed his eyes, and decided to find out more about his mysterious letter-sender.

--

Carefully, she folds the paper into three after she finished writing on it, and insert it into a small, violet envelope. She have spent a lot of time and effort, making another letter for him. She clutched it in her hand, and left the room. She walked to the mail box, and before she put the letter inside the box, she held it tight. She was wishing it would reach to him, and that he would be able to read her letter. She kissed the envelope before she insert it on the mail box. She was not expecting him to write box, that's why she never wrote her address on the envelope. She's just happy at the thought of it reaching him. And then she left, praying that he would give her a chance to let him know how she feels about him, even though it's just through a fan mail...
