Chapter 10

Seducing Mr.

Thank you for the comments! Greatly appreciated!!

==========================================================

It was already 1:00 P.M. Jaejoong and I walked silently in the streets. We
hadn’t spoken at all in the last fifteen minutes that we had been walking home.
He held the teddy bear in his left hand, and it was almost comical to see a guy
like him holding onto something like that.

“This is my house,” I said.

“Ok. Well, bye,” he said, turning to leave.

I had at least thought he’d say something before he left. Not that I’d
expected a goodnight kiss or anything, but for someone who had insisted—or
rather demanded—to walk me home, it sure seemed like it had not been an
enjoyable experience to him. I turned around and begin to plan on how I’d
sneak into the house.

“Hey,” Jaejoong said, as I was about to sneak into the door.

“Yeah?”

“Bye.”

What a weirdo. “Bye,” I said, and turned to the door once again.

“Hey…”

“Yeah?”

“Nothing,” he said, and began to walk away.

I had managed to open the door with the secret key I hid under loose brick
on one of the steps when Jaejoong, turning around, grabbed my arm. “Hey…”

“What!”

“Why the hell are you shouting?!” He hissed.

“Why the hell do you keep saying ‘hey’?”

“Nothing.”

“-_-….”

How much had he had to drink? I opened the door and stepped in.

“You…you better call me tomorrow! And I have a half day tomorrow, so I’ll
be waiting at your school gates at twelve. Meet me there…bye!” he said, and ran
far out of the distance.

“I have school tomorrow! And I don’t have a half day!” I screamed, but he
was already too far away to hear me. What a jerk? It was so typical of him,
demanding what he wanted without an ounce of consideration as to what I
might have in plan. Although I had to admit, he was pretty cute today holding
onto the teddy bear that I’d given him. And it was also the first time I’d seen
him smile like that. I didn’t know he could look so good smiling.

When I crept into the house, it wasn’t as dark as I’d expected. I wondered
if anybody was still awake. I had better get to my room before I woke anybody
up. As I tip-toed towards my room, I heard footsteps from behind me.

“Noona?”

Eunwoo stood behind me, rubbing his eyes. He was two years younger
than me, but he was almost 20 cm taller than me. I signaled for him to be quiet,
and pointed towards my door.

“What time is it?” Eunwoo asked, then looked at the clock. “What the hell?
It’s almost 2!”

“I know,” I whispered, “I was at school studying.”

“Were you smoking in school too?”

“What?”

“You smell like cigarettes,” he said, pinching his nose. “I’m telling mom.
MO—“

“Shut up!” I grabbed his arm and dragged him into my room.

“What the hell are you doing out so late anyway? Do you drink now?

ing retard. Why don’t you study some more and get your grades up or
something, ?”

I looked at my brother. At that exact moment I couldn’t deny that he
distinctly reminded me of someone else—Jaejoong. They were both s.
Only three years ago, Eunwoo had been holding onto the sleeves of my dress
calling me ‘noona! Noona!’ and following me around. Now, he had become such
a disgusting, tall, prick.

“It’s not like you don’t smoke and drink,” I whispered.

“It’s ok for me to smoke.”

“How is it okay for you to smoke?”

“Because I’m not ugly. Like you.”

“What does that have to do with anything!”

He yawned. “It has to do with everything. Anyways, if you pack me lunch
tomorrow I won’t tell mom how late you came home today.”

“Why can’t you just eat lunch in the cafeteria?”

He glared at me. “Because, Noona, what they serve in the cafeteria isn’t
lunch. It’s piss.” And then he walked out my door.

I threw a pillow as he shut the door. What was up with everybody
blackmailing me these days? But still, I couldn’t deny that I had had a little bit of
fun tonight. Apart from the whole singing thing, and embarrassing myself in
front of all those unnaturally beautiful people that Jaejoong seemed to know. I
wondered where Yura was, and if she was okay—I hoped Ape didn’t try to do
anything to her—and I thought about giving her a call, but reconsidered,
looking at the time. I would see her tomorrow. For some reason, I went to sleep
with a smile on my face.

* * *

“Where did you go last night?” I asked Yura.

She looked at me and blushed. “Nowhere. Just home.”

“With ape?”

“Who the hell is ape?” She shot.

It looked as if Yura had a crush for ape. I shook my head. It wasn’t as if
ape was ugly—I mean, he was, after all, one of Jaejoong’s friends. I just didn’t
like the idea of his curly hair and his somehow obnoxiously ape-like face. Tae
looked at us like we were crazy, and gave us a lecture about how we were
drinking now and soon we’d be indulging into drugs, doing who know what,
and eventually ruining our lives.

“Dong-Ki said he’d call me today,” Yura said, and blushed.

Right. That was the ape’s name. Dong-Ki.

At that, Tae, once again, shook his head and went back to his studies.

All of a sudden, I heard a voice coming from the courtyard. Our class was
up in the second floor, so for such a sound to travel all the way up through the
first and second floor, and through the closed window, shows a lot about the
person’s vocal capacities.

“YOON EUNHYE!”

The classroom became silent. Yura looked at me. Everybody began to look
around the room, trying to find the source of the sound.

“YOON EUNHYE!”

Finally, Yura turned to me and whispered. “Is someone shouting your
name?”

I looked at her with my mouth open. So I hadn’t misheard after all. I
pretended as if I didn’t hear my name, and looked at my textbook. But the
students were already beginning to whisper, and some of them giggled and
shot me a look.

“YOON. EUN. HYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

At that moment everybody ran towards the window. Yura, Tae, and I
fought with the other girls to stick our heads against the window to see who the
hell had such a loud and obnoxious voice.

“Oh my God, it’s Jaejoong!!!”

To my horror, they were right. It was Jaejoong. What the hell was he doing
here?

I opened the window and stuck my head out. He spotted me and began to
wave something in the air.

“LOOK! I GOT IT! I GOT IT FOR YOU!”

It looked like a spiderman doll.

“Is he…waving a spiderman doll at you right now?” Yura asked.

“I don’t know,” I said.

“COME DOWN RIGHT NOW! HEY, EUNHYE! ONE OF YOUR ING SCHOOL
TEACHERS ARE COMING AFTER ME…WHAT THE ?! HEY… HEY EUNHYE WAIT
FOR ME AT THE PARK…”

In a flash he was dragged away by our PE teacher, who took him by the
years as Jaejoong yelled, “why are you doing this to me?! Stop it teach! T_T”

And then everything was quiet. Everybody was looking at me, as if they
expected an explanation.

“Are you going to go?” Yura asked.

“Are you crazy?” I whispered, “right now? I can’t leave in the middle of
school…let alone now.”

So to my dismay, the rest of the period passed by in silent awkwardness.

***

I ran down the stairs after school. It was already three, and I wasn’t sure if
Jaejoong would still be waiting at the park or not. When I got there, I was
breathless. I hated running. When I arrived, I looked around for a while and
noticed no Jaejoong. He must have gone home.

“,” I said. If he wasn’t even going to wait a couple of hours for me,
he shouldn’t even have come and made such a scene.

I turned around to walk home.

“Eunhye?” It was Yunho, my prince. What was he doing here? He flashed
me a smile and sat down on the swings next to me. The past few days had been
unreal to me. First, I was Jaejoong’s girlfriend. Secondly, I had become an
official member of the RC. And thirdly…Yunho, the love of my life, had finally
begun to notice me. Everything in my life was beginning to change, and it was
all because of him.

“Are you going home?” he asked me.

“Yeah.”

“Are you hungry?”

“I don’t know…are you?”

Yunho laughed. “You wanna go eat?”

I blushed. Was Yunho asking me out on a date? He stood up from the
swings and grabbed my hand. “Your hands are warm.”

I could feel Yunho’s hands in mine. They were slightly cold, but I didn’t
mind. My heart began to beat like crazy. Who would have known that one day I
would hold the hands of my prince, Yunho? Everything was perfect. My life was
perfect.

At that moment I heard footsteps approaching behind me, and a voice. “…who the
hell is that…”

Yunho looked around. I saw Jaejoong, his face beaten up to a pulp. The
spiderman doll, which was in his left hand, dropped to the ground.

“Jaejoong!” I shouted. “I thought you went home!”

“No…I was getting beaten up by your of a PE teacher for causing a
ruckus in someone else’s school…Shibal. I told you to wait for me at the park.”

“I thought you went home…”

“Eunhye, who is this?” Yunho asked, still smiling.

“I’m her husband,” Jaejoong said, pushing Yunho away.

“Well she never told me about you,” Yunho said, pushing back, “and she
just said she’d go out on a date with me.”

I tried to explain, but Yunho dragged me out of the seat and began to walk
away. Jaejoong extended his arm and grabbed onto my wrist. Yunho’s hands
were cold, while Jaejoong’s were burning hot.

“Don’t go,” he said, in almost a whisper.

I saw his face, bloody and oddly sad, and Yunho’s, cold but smiling. I
felt bad for Jaejoong but Yunho was…well, Yunho was Yunho. I had loved him
for the past four years of my life. And plus, Jaejoong would understand. It
wasn’t like we were really a dating, anyway.

“Come on, Eunhye,” Yunho said.

“I’m sorry,” I said, and shook Jaejoong’s hand off.

I looked around once while we walked away. And from the distance, I saw
Jaejoong staring at me with the oddest expression ever. He didn’t look angry or
upset, just….hurt.

And for some weird reason, I felt something crushing down into my own
heart.
