When Kaname runs away from his abusive father and mother he has no idea he'll be turned into a vampire. On the first night he runs away he meets a beautiful named Luca. Luca sees that Kaname is beaten , tired , and hungry so Luca asks Kaname to go get something to eat with her. After their done eating , Luca drags Kaname into a dark alley and bites his neck to change him. Kaname screams and begs her to kill him to end the pain. When Zero overhears Kaname's cries for help , Zero rushes over and chases Luca away and takes Kaname to his home.
