Description

We attach our feelings to the moment when we were hurt, endowing it with immortality, and we let it assault us every time it comes to mind. It travels with us, sleeps with us, hovers over us while we make love, and broods over us while we die. Our hate does not even have the decency to die when those we hate die—for it is a parasite our blood, not theirs. There is only one remedy for it...

*[Previously Say My Name First. I promise I won't change it back to that anymore.]

Kim Haneul. 19 years old. Artist. Mute.

On a clear day, she headed out to get inspiration from a nearby forest, only to be greeted by an seemingly enlarged sun and blazing heat, right before the appearance of thick, grey clouds stretching across the sky, as if she was being pushed away from a fate it would be better for her to avoid.

A fate that would bring her face to face with her purpose of living…

The afterlife. Some believe it to be real, while others take it as spurious claim preachers use to put food on the table. What humans don't know is that both sides are right. The afterlife did exist.

399 years ago, the war between Heaven and Hell, which lead to the closure of the afterlife, left twelve non-humans, six angels and six demons, an important mission that never left their minds: find the key. Those words were carved on the gates of both sections of the afterlife, waiting to be opened by whatever means.

And now, it's almost too late. Souls constantly hover over them, asking why they can't move on. It's the feeling of standing still in the middle of China's busiest street: the never ending version.

They only have one year left. And one year before it all ends, the key had reached them, giving an equal chance to both angels and demons to grab it...

Or hear it

The demon, who Kim Haneul had secretly befriended, and the angel who had settled an arranged marriage with the youngest daughter of the Kim family.

Who will discover the key first... or are there others involved, just waiting for the opportunity to steal the key away?

Foreword

Hey guys, TDT here with a 6th fic. I've been planning this for a while, so please do enjoy. I know I know, I still have 3 other fics, but I really needed to start this one >< I hope the description wasn't too confusing. I've given some really important information there. The grey italics at the beginning are really important. Don't search up the quote though, you'll spoil it for yourself (if you do, please don't spoil it for others ><). I'll try my best to update often, but please understand school situations. Happy reading! My other fics are on the left ^^

Ciaossu~

P.S.: Here's a small teaser ^^ a few lines that will appear in the future.

"It was avoidable. I didn't have to kill them all."

"Baek..."

"I'm her fiance- her ex-fiance."

"Lu..."

"You trusted me? You were precious to me? What a joke."

P.P.S.: Here's another teaser. Hope you liked the previous one ;) these guys won't appear until the end though.

Somewhere atop the highest cloud covering the sky stood five figures dressed in pure white togas that covered their muscular build. The incredibly blazing sun beat down on their flawless skin, yet that was not the reason for the exasperated looks on their faces.

"I don't remember creating any beings with this much hopelessness." One of them sighed.

"Maybe you added too much of your own." Smack.

"You didn't really have to send him flying like that," another said with a chuckle.

"No need to worry, he'll be back in a few seconds. We must not digress from the matter at hand. We cannot let our many centuries of hard work—"

"You mean of accepting all those wonderful sacrifices and—"

"Shut up before I make you. Anyways, our work cannot go to waste, and at this rate, it will. It doesn't matter who finds it first, someone just has to." The hand of the middle figure began to glow as he faced his palm down. The other four followed.

"Let's put this here, then get rid of this, move that—"

"Hyung, how about this? That would be hilarious," the youngest laughed.

"… I guess that's possible. As long as both sides have an equal chance. See those two? They're closest." Their hands ceased to glow and fell back to their sides as they began to watch the show try directed play before them.

"… Hold on, don't those two hate each other? And wait, why did you make them… oh god."

"You mean 'oh myself'." Smack.

"I hope he goes to hell."

"Hyung, he created hell."

"... Just shut up and watch their first meetings."
