In the car, Yujin couldn’t help but blush every time she thought of Seungyeol. She was very thankful that the inside of the car was very dark, or else her mom would’ve seen her blushing and asked her what was going on.

“So how was your night at the ball?” her mom asked.

“Really good” Yujin replied, smiling and blushing again thinking about Seungyeol “How about yours?”

“It was wonderful” her mom said “One of the most successful ones so far”

“That’s great to hear mom” Yujin said. Yujin went to pull her phone out, when she realized that it wasn’t on her. She quickly looked on the ground and under the seats but nothing. She must’ve dropped it at the hotel, how could she be so clumsy she thought to herself. When it came to her, if she loses her phone, it means that she lost Seungyeol’s number. Her inner conscience flailed and plopped onto the ground crying like a little girl.

“Can we go back tomorrow morning?” Yujin asked her mom “I think I left my phone at the hotel.”

“Your phone?” her mom said “Yeah for sure, I’ll call them first thing asking if the staff have seen it.”

The next morning, Yujin’s mom called the hotel and unfortunately there were no phones that were brought to the lost and found. So Yujin drove to the hotel to look for it, and also take her stuff out of the janitor closet. She looked everywhere for it, but nothing. Someone must’ve taken it she thought to herself. She went home sulking, but what made her feel somewhat better was that she was leaving for university in a couple of days, which meant she was going to be able to start a new life.

“I’m really going to miss you, honey” her mom said to Yujin, tearing up. Her mom had helped her get settled in to Yujin’s new dorm at the university, and it was time for her mom to leave.

“Me too, mom” Yujin said, feeling sad as well. “If anything happens, call me right away and I’ll be home instantly”

“Silly girl, I should be saying that to you, not the other way around” her mom said, voice shaking. Yujin and her mom said their goodbyes, hugged once more, and her mom got into the car and drove away. Although she was super excited to be in university, she couldn’t help but feel a little bit sad.

Yujin got used to university life very quickly. Within the first week, she got accustomed to juggling her classes with her soccer, and she had made some friends from her floor. Her mom called her every night to check in on her, and Yujin was glad that her mom was doing okay on her own.

On one of her busy days, Yujin was walking to class with textbooks in her hand, her backpack on, and her soccer bag slung over one shoulder. Yujin thought to herself, how she wished she had her car so she didn’t have to haul everything on campus all day. Distracted by her thought, she bumped into a guy, sending her books flying and her soccer bag falling to the ground.

“Oh, I’m really sorry!” Yujin said, as she bent down to grab her things.

“No, I should be the one who is sorry” the guy said, helping Yujin pick up her things. As Yujin was picking up her things, she couldn’t help but think that the guy’s voice sounded familiar. When everything was picked up, they both stood up and the guy looked at Yujin and handed her things over. Yujin could not believe who it was. It was Seungyeol.

Yujin was so shocked to see him, and Seungyeol had a look of shock as well.

“Hi.” Seungyeol said, smiling in disbelief.

“Hi.” Yujin said back, already feeling shy.
