I'm here again with a new story !

Foreword

After much contemplation, he hesitantly took his phone and dialed the number he has memorized by heart. Apprehension had filled his entire being as the ringing sound had entered his ears. He had called her multitudes of times before but his intent was always the same. This time, it was different. It was something that he thought he would never ever have to call her about.

A distinct ringing sound had disturbed her peace. She turned her head from the window and looked over to her side table. There, she saw her hand phone, bouncing around as it vibrated and rang. She gingerly reached towards it. However, under normal circumstances, she’d rush to take the call. She pushed the green button and placed the phone against her ear.

“Dee?” he said, after hearing her breath.

“Hey Yongie, what’s up?”

The tension was obvious between the two of them. Both of them knew the intention of this call. He took a deep breath as he collected his words, words he thought he would never utter.

“I need to talk to you. Meet me later at the Park?”

She sighed and bit her lip. “Sure. I need to talk to you too. What time?”

“Eight I suppose. Do you want me to pick you up?” he offered though he knew that this wasn’t exactly for the best.

“No Yongie, I could drive. I’d see you there.”

“Okay. I’d let you go now.” He then paused and tried to stop himself from muttering those three words. However, he did. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

And with that, both hang up.
